A friendly tip: for jumpin and falling, try using any key frame transitions in this order: ease out, then ease in. Most transitions of these types work great with jumps. Your special effects are spot on though!

Ah yes. The problem would be, if you use it the wrong way, it appears VERY WEIRD.

Yup, use those in that order. For jumping in place, I would use ease out and ease in QUADRATIC. For jumping around, try the sine or circular eases.
