Simple rigging tutorial, for starters ;)

1: 3D Extrusion A.K.A Item Sheet

Spoiler

To make something 3D, you would need an Item Sheet for sure!

To make a Custom Item Sheet, you would need a program like GIMP or Paint.net
Example:

If you need a template Item Sheet, here:
[Each Blank is a 16x16 item]

(Right Click, Save Image As...)

2: Bending

Spoiler

As a rigger, I always make sure that the rig is perfect, example for 3D extrusion for player's arm, it will get annoying when you bend it 45o and the extrusion goes out of the arm, like this

To fix that, click on the Item/Extrusion and make sure to un-check this: [if you see Upper Half untag it if the Item/Extrusion belong to the lower half]

3: Texture

Spoiler

If you have a rig that say: Retexture-Able, this might come in handy

So you would need a Program Like Gimp Or P.N Again

What you do is Copy & Paste The Texture you want to retexture, then open your editing program, click open

Select on the Copyed Texture, and then re-draw it yourselve!

I hope this was helpful!

Have a great day fellas!!

You don't need an Item sheet to make a good rig. I just make a texture, make it into an item, then turn "Use as sheet" off.

You can, but its much more organized having a big item sheet with all of the textures, instead of having 20 different image files in the folder.

I guess so, but item sheets limit you to a 16x16 space for each item.
