I mean, yes the program has evolved from a more simplistic state. But, a animation program is nothing without a user actually making something. And, that user determines what they want  to make. From a simple test with flatland, to a full on animation that may have taken weeks or months possibly even more.

Personally, if the user knows what they are doing and striving to create something of their best quality. Then i feel like there animation means something to them and they aren't just doing this to get recognized or be famous while others are posting decent content.
