Presenting my new OCs, Jacob Ember and Noxila Shard.

Jacob is a 17-year-old human who's completely normal... except that his best friend is a Umbral. Noxila is a 160-year-old (proportionately a 15-year-old by human standards) Umbral who's completely normal... except that her best friend is a human.

Needless to say, the two have an... interesting relationship. Umbrals are, after all, the source of human legends of monsters and things in the closet, and humans have been a mystery to the Umbrals for thousands and thousands of years. In any event, the two should have been terrified of one another. But, for whatever reason...

...they weren't...
