How do I remove black outlines from .mpg?

Hi all, I noticed after upgrading to 1.0.4 that all newly rendered animations have now become a .mpg file.  Not only that, but on all the videos I've made on this new version there is a black outline?  I'm not sure how to get rid on this, any suggestions?

David made this mandatory since he changed the rendering system. Not to mention the filetype renders the files small with lossless quality.

And the filetype has issues when opened in certain programs. (Such as Windows media player) Open it in VLC and you will see there's nothing really wrong here.

If you want to change it to something else, Handbrake is a good option.
