it is a saber that is straight and if you can bend anything, it can be a curved saber too. xD

Make the blade thinner and instead of a small hilt try a basket hilt it will make it look like a fencing sword which is what sabers we for

the Patton blade (this blade) is mostly thick except the tip of the blade.
