Bow as Special Block?

So, special blocks in Minecraft are blocks that have movable parts right? So why not make a special item. A  Bow. The bow would have a string or smaller blocks attached and then would bend where ever you move the middle one but keep hold of the bow its self. Kinda like the advanced bow rig but simplified.

I'm not sure why you're facepalming there...

David would have to write whoke new chunks code to allow for the bow string to bend.

He could simply pinch the Advanced bow rig and integrate it into the program (huehuehue...) and add a slidey bar which makes the bow bend and the string simultaneously reposition itself.

Can't be that hard.
