This may be personal, but i honestly don't know why nobody does this little shadow thingy. In my opinion, it looks much nicer.

 

This is what normal mineimator shadows look like: 

 

And this is what shadows look like with this option: 

 

I mean, you have to admit. the second image looks much nicer. It's also more realistic, since shadows only blur irl when they are far away.

The shadow on the second image wasn't even the sharpest. The sharpest is 0.

I personally like the smoother shadow better. Probably because I've spent too much time practicing black-and-white shading within drawings, I like most things realistic.

Man, i completely agree with you. I was hyped when i first saw this option, but it's sad it makes it blocky. oh well.

Good idea posting that as a suggestion though. Do it.
