This could be neat for rigs that have items that retract or something, also it would be a quicker work flow instead of double clicking the value (which sometimes is tricky to highlight the whole thing) and typing in the correct number, which the rotation lock would already have the correct value all the time.

I'm making a new animation (complex at that), and wondering how to pick something up, via the lock tool. More precisely, is it possible to lock something to something else during the animation (at one segment for a length of time), for example, could I lock a sword to someone's arm for 20% of the animation, and put it somewhere else for the other 80%.

So, My suggestion would be camera locking. Now, let me explain. Camera locking should enable the user to lock the camera's rotation and position so they dont accidentaly click and look around with the camera view and therefor accidentally repositioning its rotation. It would work very simply. This is a zoomed out image of how it would look. ------------------------------------------------ this is how the camera bar looks. as you see, it has a lock icon indicating its locked. ------------------------------------------------------ here you see it in the camera properties settings. Hope this explains what im trying to tell. This would be a mini life saver if it was implemented. I've certainly done it lots of times and then wish it could be disabled.

I want to make a scene where Steve would drop his sword acidentally and needs to take a stick from the ground and use it as a sword. Is there any way to lock the sword, then unlock it when it falls and lock the stick when steve grabs it?
