  2. It's been a while since I posted something here but I thought that this would be important to some people. I present... the start to my long awaited series. ============ LONG FORGOTTEN ============ Now I know some of you is gonna get mad that it's a "Reality Ripoff" or "It's a MGB" Tbh, I enjoy making this series, and I hope some of you enjoy watching it. Here is also a little QnA I want to address: -------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- Will there be voice actors? There will be in the future, hardest part is finding that are actually good. Can I be an opponent in the series? Since the series has a more thought out plot, it's harder to just add people in left or right. But as a background character, sure! --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------
  3. Divided is most definetely my most successful animation I've ever made. It consists of 4 episodes, the fourth one premiering on April 17th - in 5 days as of writing this post. It's a story about depression based on real life. It's shown in a graphical way, where the protagonist has manifested his depression into a physical being and fights it in his head. The story has also got a lot to do with the events taking place in real life, abandoning friends, and so on and it includes a lot of psychological metaphores. It shows really deeply the effects of depression, how it can "devour" an individual from the inside and what an absolutely crucial role is being played by the pacient's friends and family. Divided itself is a project that has took me 3 years and a month to finish: from the episode 1, where my skill was not nearly on the level it currently is, till the final episode, premiering in a few days, while throughout the story I've prograssed and learned, becoming better and better as it went. Each episode took 3-6 months to being finished, with a 2 months break in between, except episode four (the one premiering). Episode 4 took a year and a half, with the first planning started in December, 2017. It started with the script, upgrading the rigs, building the worlds, later on the storyboard, contacting people and auditioning for voice actors and over the course, up till now, the lovely piece of art was growing. It took more than 4000 hours of work, 10 acts, 7 voice actors (recycling voices for several roles), over 2600 blocks being animated by hand, a lot of nerves and a lot of emotional support from other people (who I'd like to thank). It was made to wrap up the story in a spectacle and a meaningful emotional twist. A lot of credit goes to my YouTube partner, Freedom!, for providing me the access to licenced music, which has made the overall experience better on a whole another level - despite the fact that I still had to compose the soundtrack myself, using all the available material and properly crediting them in the end credits. Preproduction and production Animation was most definetely not everything there was needed to be done, of course: - First I needed a script (which I had written in the school cafeteria on a sheet of paper, ripped out of my notebook, and was later on written in the proper script format) - Afterwards, I required all the skins, rigs, voice actors, worlds, and assets that I would use in my animation - The storyboard, with individual shot lengths - A customly made soundtrack, based off which I would sync my animation (the first version including only the voices, and urgently timed events and adding the rest - such as footsteps, cloth sound effects and music - later in post-production) - Then I've tackled the animating part, which took most of the time, going at a rate of 1 second of animation being made every 2 hours or so; exporting the animation in bits of 20 seconds to prevent lagg and improove organization - going through the animation several times to add lighting, camera effects, fix minorities, animate statists, etc. Postproduction After the animation was exported, my work was FAR from done! I had to: - Open the animation in After Effects and create VFX, correct colors, etc. and render it (extra 10h of work per 20s of animated sequence) - Compress the file with professional software - Throw bits of the animation in my Premiere Pro project, arrange them and add every single possible occuring sound effect, going through several times to further correct colors, make sure the sound levels are plausible - Export individual acts as video files Post-postproduction At the end, I had to: - Merge all the uncompressed Premiere Pro project files into one super large one, to prevent quality loss - Do a double-check on sound, replace some sound effects, make sure the volume is right for individual sound effects (over 500 sound effects) - Manually color correct every single camera shot in the entire animation (over 1000 shots) - Run through the entire library of used sources, such as music, rigs, assets and even induvidual skins appearing in the background of the animation - Alphabetically organise the sources and form them into groups - Make the end credits - Export Divided 4 entirely I am currently at the final stage, where I'm raising awareness of the animation to put the year and a half worth of work into use - also known as advertising It's been a long journey and I'm proud of where the animation, that started as a small project and emerged into an enormous story, has gotten. Thanks again for everyone who has helped me with the work, all the statists, all the people from who I just took some of the rigs without them knowing (they are credited in the end credits though), and to all my viewers who were patient enough and understanding.   10. Umm..Hello boys and girls?, Been a while since I've made a Fighting Animation So, I wanted to get back to it and test how far have my skills come. The first thing that came to mind was, How would I get people hyped bout this ? Naturally the solution would be a teaser but, Who's got time for those am I right ? ? Instead what I did was, I rendered a scene and edited the living hell out of that, This was the result ? (Say hello to Daniel everyone !   11. Ahhhhh.... good to post something again. So, I found out about this collab and though to myself. Perfect match for my character and whatnot. Though... I didn't animate it until the last second. I only got the run and scenery about 2-3 weeks ago (I think) and did the entire rest today in the span of 2-5 hours. (Plus I didn't know what to do for the last 3 seconds. So you get a long fade. And finally, to top it all off, @WillesFilmz helped me once again with After Effects Editing, not too overedited and not too flashy. I personally thank him for that, and we do a nice job together.   14. A project that I started over a year and a half ago is finally released. This was supposed to be the intro to some series, but I lost the script and the motivation to make it. You'll notice patches of different quality due to the fact that it was made intermittently over a long period of time. Since this was more of a visual effects video, there is no story or plot. It's just fighting that doesn't make sense. I would like constructive criticism on the animation or visual effects. Thank you.   16. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about that... Just wanted to express my emotions! Anyways, here is the official start to my new series Long Forgotten. Thanks to @WillesFilmz for doing the After Effects for me, I know it wouldn't look as best without him. I've been wanting to do this for CaZaKoJa since the start of 2015, and well, I finally got it done for him as a gift to show how much he's inspired me to animate the last couple of years and I thought that this was the way to do it. I hope you enjoy, and here is a bit of a Q@A for those questions. Q: Why did you choose Frame of Mind when it's so overused? A: Back in 2015 when I was trying to give inspiration for him for Reality and to possibly help him in other paths of life, I created a short test animation for him and it included the song. And, I though it would fit his character the most since before i learned more about Ati I thought he was a "Frame of Mind" for James. Q: Why not use some actual scenery instead of the flatlands? Also, this is just a over edited reality ripoff!! A: James in the animation as well in the series has a ability to make his dreams become Reality. And Since in the animation, he is in a CryoSleep and stuck in a dream I thought it would be a ideal way to have it on the flatlands if my character went into the dream. As for the Ripoff part.. the story that follows the Prologue or this part, has no connection to Reality besides this part. Their is no breakup or possession of my character via a demon entity of any kind. Q: How long did this take? A: Shorter than Expected to be honest. I started working on it in Late April, Early May and finished it this week. So, about a month or 2. The Animation part took around 4-6 weeks in total and the editing and rendering took the rest of the time. That would be all, see you very soon and thank you!!   17. OMG,I FINALLY GOT THIS THING DONE!!!! Uhhhhh,,,, Sorry about that. Moving on... My First of Many Trailers for the episodes in my series, note that not everything in the animations is going to look like the final version and is subject to render. (Also I messed up the date at the end, it's supposed to say 6/22/2018 not 2019) Questions and Answers: "OMG This is such a Reality Ripoff" "You're just ripping off reality" "You probably want to be like CaZaKoJa" For those of who are going to say this, let me tell you that the reason I chose CaZaKoJa for the Prologue is because without the start of his MGB Central and his Reality Series I would have not have created my character and possibly not have made the friends I do now because of him. This is more or less a tribute then a straight ripoff. And plus, the storyline besides being in the flatlands has no connection to anything with Reality besides having James. No crushes, breakups or possessions of any kinds. "Why chose flatland's and the trees instead of actual scenery?" James/ATI in Reality has a ability to make his dreams come to life, In the animation a scenario that is part of the plot occurs for him to become unconscious. Through monitoring his brain activity someone can go inside his brain and wake him up from the inside of his dream by almost any method by winning against James/ATI or losing and having him do it himself. With that,from information I have found on the old MGB Central James can only summon the 3 ATI forms into the flatlands. (Correct me if I'm wrong) "When do you think the next part is going to be?" Hard to tell, I have to figure out some more plot elements and such and to figure out different aspects of the series. I hope that answers most questions, I hope you enjoy. Also thanks to @WillesFilmz for helping with After Effects editing for me!! Fun fact: I've been planning on doing this animation for a few years now since 2015, and I finally got the courage and the skill to actually animate this.
