Not many tweaks from the last time around, some extra descriptions to make things more clear and an added question. For those who don't know, the Mine-imator Forums Survey is an anonymous questionnaire to find out about who uses the forums. Police VS Thief Story in brief. Intro : There was a thief hacked the government system. Not so long after that, police had arrived and arrested him. So bad, he was be able to escape from the police, and he has to catch that thief before he will trouble someone or something. In this task, the one who joined the assignment will have to create the creation by using following factors. -*- Except for police and thief characters, you can't use any main character that you wish to be use, but you may put them as your background or helping police to arrest the theft , or helping theft to be free. -*- Police and thief must not be death in your work, thief must not be arrested by any factors, or at last, he is able to be free after that. -*- Magic and beyond natural are not likely to be accept, in case that it is too over or OP. Put those factors as the beautiful background is fine. -*- Scene, animator's skill, and hard working are required. In case that you are not good at doing this, feel free to do your best! -*- inappropriate work such as sexual and social or person satirical will not be accepted.   3. This bug is confirmed for fixed. Great job everyone! Where did the watermark go??? This bug seems to be funny, or I just don't know it is intended to be. In TRIAL mode of Mine-Imator 1.1.0 (release) and 1.1.1, I rendered pictures and video in any resolution, there is always NO watermarks. This issue does not affect the MI too much so this is just a minor bug. Sometimes this watermark is useful to do demonstration of some ideas and could prevent somebody steal your work directly. And there is no log available for this bug. Sorry.
  4. This bug was cofirmed for fixed. Great job for this everyone! Here is a bug seems to be caused by Unicode chars in path. There are 3 ways could recreate this issue: Load a schematic file which stored in a path included some Unicode chars. Example: Loading file: D:\WorkDir\Minecraft\测试\Schematics\somemap.schematic When Mine-Imator installed in a path contains Unicode chars. Example: Installed on: D:\工作\Mine-Imator\ When creating a project with Unicode chars. It will not affected when first loading schematics in, but once re-open this project, Mine-Imator will attempt to load schematic stored in project directory, and BOOM, it crashed. Example: Project Name: 这是一个工程 And here are the contents in exception popup window: ___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ ERROR in action number 1 of Draw Event for object app: Cannot load buffer file ############################################################################################ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- called from - gml_Script_res_load_scenery (line 83) called from - gml_Script_popup_loading_draw (line 4) called from - gml_Script_popup_draw (line 110) called from - gml_Script_window_draw (line 30) called from - gml_Script_app_event_draw (line 7) called from - gml_Object_app_Draw_0 (line 0) To be noticed, when this exception popup displayed, the "Ignore" button is available. But it cannot let the schematic file to be properly loaded. So this is a bug. MI 1.1.0 (release) were NOT tested with this issue. Sorry for this. Since MI 1.1.0, the support of Unicode characters in project is very useful. But there are still something need to be improved. So I put this in "Major Bug" catalogy. Thanks for your attention.   5. Update: I recently downloaded MI 1.1.0-pre3 and confirmed this bug is not appearing anymore. Thank you David. Old contents: I have some issue with new version of Mine-imator 1.1.0 . I have tried to workaround this issue but all failed. Here are things I have done: It reporting "Couldn't load texture from file_directory". I have checked this directory, it exists. (from log: C:\Users\SuperMarioSF\AppData\Roaming\Mine_imator) The directory contains a file "tmp.png" with all transparent, 32x32 pixels. MD5 hash for this file is: 77f6d36c138430158326474af3ab7b95 I cleaned up this directory, and retry to startup. Failed. I tried archive version with different installation directory: C:\Mine-Imator FAILED STARTING UP D:\Mine-Imator FAILED STARTING UP D:\Mine-Imator-110 FAILED STARTING UP I tried using installer with different installation directory: C:\Mine-Imator FAILED STARTING UP C:\Users\SuperMarioSF\Mine-imator FAILED STARTING UP I have reviewed code on Github, but cannot figure out where caused problem.   7. Welcome to the Endless Fall 2 Collab If you haven't seen or been in the previous one, here's the first endless fall collab: What is the collab about? In the ending, steve finally found the diamonds, but before he could reach them, the ground broke and steve fell into the abyss. Sounds great, how do i join? Just download the template listed below, make your entry and PM it to me! Rules Your Entry must be rendered in HDV 720 (1280x720). No music, SFX is allowed though. Make something interesting happen in the animation, watching just steve falling is boring. Don't touch the camera, this collab is meant to be continuous. You can animate steve, but he must stay in the same pose in the beginning and in the end. Do not change the lighting, sun position, background etc. No special effects (Unless they disappear when the animation starts and ends). No Fade in/out. Your entry must be at least 3 seconds long and at max 30 seconds long. multiple entries are allowed. Rigs are allowed. Sprites, Textures, Custom stuff, etc, are allowed. Remember that the beginning and the end of the Animation must be like in the template! Remember to repeat the animation of the Background moving.   10. This issue was fixed since 1.0.3 update. So this issue was closed. There are some bug in update-check function. Error message: ___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ ERROR in action number 1 of Async Event: HTTP for object app: Data structure with index does not exist. ############################################################################################ This window pop up endlessly, simply click ignore does not work. I analysised this issue, and found that if a connection to www.stuffbydavid.com on port 80(HTTP) was established but breaked down (maybe there are network problem or someone else(such as, GFW.) stopped you to access to this server), this message will pop up, endlessly. I recommended that David you should add a check before putting [content which downloaded from website] to [json process function]. If website returned a empty contents, notice user that cannot check for update, and do not check again until next startup of mine-imator. Thanks.
  11. ISSUE CLOSED - Now fixed in 1.0.2 A bug were found while I tried to click "Open Website" and "Open Forum" button. Windows pop up a window and says cannot open (reason is "Missing elements".). I found the URL was missing a slash. A correct URL is: http://www.mineimatorforums.com/ but there was this: http:/www.mineimatorforums.com/ This bug affects both toolbar open website&forum button and startup screen open website&forum button.
  12. ISSUE CLOSED - Now fixed in 1.0.2 There is a minor bug in startup. But I think it will take many issue if this bug was not dealt quickly. But ignoring this window can start Mine-Imator correctly. (so I call this bug a minor bug.) This is not a critical bug, but annoying. This message never shown in Mine-Imator 1.0.0 Demo5. Please fix. Ok so recently I was animating and well I just saw that I wasent good at animating so Im going to keep practicing so then I tried Rigging and it worked out pretty well like my first rigs got more views and likes than expected and it was HOT topic ! and now since im pretty good at building I guess I can make a map using peoples RIGS ( yes I will credit them ) or I can also make my own rigs and make a schematic for minecraft animations like I can make ( this is an example ) I can make a fad map with animatronics that you can animate already added to the map ! so let me know what you think/want in the comments or something and il try to make the one that gets more likes !
