  1. Hello everyone, I'd like to ask if there is a possible way to export my modelbench model to a json file for minecaft java or blockbench?

  3. Using big models in Mine-imator is hard on my computer, especially when the model I am using has 646 shapes in it... (Flan's Mod M1 Abrams tank that I made: https://imgur.com/a/fjjm9OY) SO, I had this idea: What if there was an option in the exporter that combined all intersecting shapes in a part into one big shape? If there was, it could reduce the importing speed for complex models in Mine-imator AND increase the performance of rendering in general. (The program wouldn't have to calculate the positions of all the shapes in a part as it moves in an animation)
  4. So, here's the steps to recreate the bug: Make something and parent it to something else, e. g. a lever to a stone block. Export the parented something, e. g. the lever to *.miobject file. Open the other project. Try to load the exported in step 2 object and you won't see it in the timeline. Try to save the project and your MI will get crashed. Crash log:
  5. Hey guys I've been trying to import my projects for ages now and it hasn't been working. Mine imator works well without lag when I'm in the app, as soon as I try to export the screen goes black and mine imator closes and says its not responding. I tried exporting with lower framerate and quality but it still crashes, it even crashes with 5 second animations. also about 3 days before I exported a 5 minute project that was 4K 60FPS on best quality and it worked fine. This is recent. Thanks pls help The log is below. ___ Mine-imator log ___ In your bug report, include this full log, along with instructions how to recreate the bug. How do I save a rig?

I'm just going to get straight into the question. So I'm wondering how to save a rig. Example: You've made a player rig and you want to save it for uses later. How do I do this? pls halp
  8. Using Mine-imator 1.0.5 I am unable to export my project correctly. I was using 1.0.3 until today. I updated to 1.0.5 and the result is the same. I have been having this problem consistently for about a week now. When I export, I get a blank view. Steve has been moved from origin. And I have positioned a camera facing him. The camera is in the timeline. I have added additional cameras to the project. I can verify that the timeline is able to switch view from one camera to the other, using "visible" toggle in camera settings. I watch my project in the work camera-split screen. It looks great! When I send it to export, it just shows me the view from (I assume) origin. No steve. No switching cameras. Nothing. WHY?!??!?!?!? I am happy to provide any settings, if you tell me which settings are most relevant to this discussion. I am an elementary school teacher working with a very excited 4th grader on his animation project. But his frustration is mounting. Your help is GREATLY appreciated.
  9. Help me! My mine-imator does this weird thing no matter what i export!!!! The screen gets all glitchy and green and lags!!! anyone know how to fix this?!!! I'm using Mine-imator 1.0.5!!!!!!!!!
  10. Hello, good people of the forums! Today, I present a rather interesting freature that could be implemented into Mine-imator, if it isn't too much trouble. What I would really like to see is the ability to export frames of an animation (or specific objects) as .obj (or similar) formats. The main reason I would like to see this is so that, when creating still images with Mine-imator, I can export the project and have it rendered using David's ray tracer program to create even more realistic graphics! Anybody up for this?
  11. The problem is: I have a project that I want to turn into an image, but some schematics I put in there are supposed to look block-y, but if I try to make the image, no matter how I put the options, it still smooth up the block-y parts, is there a way to fix this?(I am using 1.0.0)
  12. It would be cool if we could select a group of keyframes, save it, and import it into a different animation's character's timeline. So I could make a ninja kick on my "Totally awesome Ninja kicks" animation, and then put those keyframes into the main character of my "Average Joe is being awesome" animation. This tool would really help me a lot, and it would be really nice.
  13. So I've been working on some animations as always but I've recently come up with a problem for both mine-imator 0.6.2 and 1.0.0. The problem is that whenever I click the export button in 0.6.2 the video file says it encountered a problem playing it when I try to play it and with 1.0.0 it only works with low quality and as soon as you try to use high quality it will either say the same as 0.6.2 or it'll start playing from the end but flickering and heavily distorted until it reaches the actual start but however long it plays the end part for is how long it skips at the start. Please help!
  14. So i was wondering why cant i export my video, the solution is simple, i just delete any process that says RichVideo.exe on the task manager. hope this help, but im telling you that i am not an expert of mineimator, so yeah, hope helps ^^
  15. i spent a long time working on this cinematic mineimator 1.0.0 demonstration. how ever every time i try to export the project to avi it exports through the "work camera" which is apparently different from the camera i want to export the video to. the only camera on the time line is the one i imported from the work bench menu and thats the pov i want the video to export in. can some one help?
  16. Hello! Please help me. I made my very first animation with Mine-imator, and worked hard on it. I saved the file, and wanted to export it. The following pops up, as i'm sure you know. "Choose the Codec, yadadada." I chose Microsoft Video 1 with a Quality of 50. Next, it begins the export. I'm pretty sure it should like, show me the video frame by frame but it just shows the first and last frames. After about 3-4 seconds it's done. Next, it says it's finished, and I open the file with Vegas, or MVP, or VLC, and it just doesn't open. It's like, it doesn't exist. I've rendered it eight times now, and it hasn't worked. Please help soon, because I really want to export it and show my friends!
  17. I was recently taking a look at the particle system. Because of my monitor's small resolution screen, I couldn't even read all the options in the particles sidebar in the video. I thought of something which I assume would be relatively easy to implement, maybe two hours worth of GM work. You should be able to export a particle preset. This would be pretty simple. Rather than creating a new format, one could simply use the JSON format (incidentally also used by Mojang for internal Minecraft storage). Since I couldn't read any of the options (as stated above) I had to make some qualities up, but here's an example of what the JSON could look like. { "name": "Pig Cannon", "type": "3d", "appearance": [ { "type": "Character", "model": "Pig" } ], "direction": [ { "use": true, "randomise": 0.1, "x": 0.8, "y": 0.06, "z": 0 } ], "velocity": [ { "use": true, "randomise": 0, "x": 1, "y": 0.8, "z": 0 } ], "rotation": [ { "use": true, "randomise": 0.2, "x": 0.8, "y": 0.06, "z": 0 } ], } Also, there are existing GMS functions used for encoding and decoding JSON. However, although I do code, I don't really work with GM, so I'm unsure if this is relevant. To simplify editing of the particle JSON format, you could use YAML instead, which is a less sytaxically strict version of the exact same thing. (The YAML format is used by Bukkit.) Unfortunately, I couldn't actually find any GMS functions for converting YAML to JSON. Here is the above example converted to YAML. Notice the added readability name: Pig Cannon type: 3d appearance: type: Character model: Pig direction: use: true randomise: 0.1 x: 0.8 y: 0.06 z: 0 velocity: use: true randomise: 0 x: 1 y: 0.8 z: 0 rotation: use: true randomise: 0.2 x: 0.8 y: 0.06 z: 0 I used a 3D pig, because I'm too lazy to use a 2D particle. ^^; A 2D particle would have far more properties in the "appearance" array, such as "type", "color1", "color2", and others (from what I saw in the video.)
  18. I was getting done with my animation and going to render. So I clicked the Export Video. Saved The Project. Hit The OK button. Waited. Kept Waiting. And Nothing Showed Up. There Was No Extra Screens. It was just Mine-Imator. Can Somebody Help Me?

Hello, Can anybody help me! Is my video finish white exporting, is my video black! And i look the hole exporting! I have a windows 7 pc! Gr. gerlove P.S. Help me!!!
  20. Hi. I find it quite annoying that when I export an animation, it is in an .avi format. Because I am normally a Mac user (I move my finished animations from my Dad's Windows computer onto my Mac for use on iMovie) I need to convert it to a .mov format for use in iMovie because it doesn't support .avi. (Why can't Microsoft and Apple be friends...?) Anyway, I have to go through all the trouble of putting it through the converter and I end up with low-quality video (I have an extremely tight budget so I can only get the really bad freeware converters). I hate low-quality video, and I know that my viewers would hate that too. I would be so happy if the developer (the mighty David) added a feature where we could export the animation into Mac-friendly formats, if that is at all possible. I would be even happier if we had a Mac version of Mine-imator to use. (Though I heard of plans for this) Thanks, and I hope you can help me in this predicament I currently find myself in! 21. Hi all, I just made my first animation, i have LOTS of questions but It was ok for now. When im going to click the export movie button. I see Lots of kinds of exporting Programs or Ways (i think). I heard that the best is Microsoft video 1 i put it, max compress. And when I go adhead it gets stuck, like "Mine-imator is not working" and close the programm. Can someone help me??
