  1. Seriously. I understand the reasoning behind wanting to create a unified render base, and it probably makes things easier on David in terms of maintenance. But I used to always render into Lagarith, which was both lossless and not too CPU heavy. Being forced to render into MPEG2 like the 1.0.0 version does nets me this wonderful screen in Adobe Premiere CS6. Now I've got to transcode every render I make, and even then that borks every other try since Handbrake really doesn't like these files. For the majority of users a basic mpeg is fine. It's not fine when whatever it spits out seems half broken and can't be imported by a professional editing program. So why can't we have the VFW/DirectShow menu back, even as an "Advanced" option that has to be specifically selected?
  2. Im testing out codecs and xVid takes about 10 hours to render 5 minutes of animation in high quality. I want to test h264 to see if it's any faster since both are similar in video quality, but I can't find h264 in the codec list. Also it wouldn't let me save as .mp4, only .avi. h264 is definitely there because my card is pretty new and it has inbuilt 264, it shows up in other programs like Bandicam, I dont get why it doesnt show up in MineImator. How to save in .mp4 anyway?
  3. I've been trying to render a animation I have created and I wanted to test the different codecs I have. I have already downloaded Larigath Looseless codec which I looked up on a different post and when trying to use it to render it will simple give my video a result of a blackscreen. If anyone could give me some advice I would be very happy so I can finish off my work
  4. Guys, I'm making a SWEET video (trust me) and I tried using the default method of Exporting the Movie. It was over 2 minutes long (I'm using 1.0.0. by the way) and it glitched a bit. People on the forums say to use Lagarith Lossless Codec, so I installed it. THIS IS MY ONLY QUESTION: What do I do after I install it? I'm looking at my kewl animation, pressing Export, selecting "Save (advanced)", opening a blank file in my Mine-imator Folder... AND WHAT DO I SELECT? The codec appears no where. If I look at my programs on my computer, I can see it. I have no option but to Uninstall it (It's labeled Lagarith Lossless Codec 1.3.27). So... yeah... what do I do? I want to use the codec to export my video... but I guess I can't find it. Any ideas? P.S. I followed the links you guys sent: Larigath Looseless codec, I downloaded the Lagarith Installer (v1.3.27), and I ran it. It completed doing it's thing. I open up the Export box and I'm helpless. What am I missing? How do I have THIS thing... DO what it's meant to do!?
  5. I was getting done with my animation and going to render. So I clicked the Export Video. Saved The Project. Hit The OK button. Waited. Kept Waiting. And Nothing Showed Up. There Was No Extra Screens. It was just Mine-Imator. Can Somebody Help Me?
  6. Hey Does Anybody Know A Good Codec I Can Use Because When I Use The Microsoft Video 1 It Turns Very Pixelated And It Is Not HD. So Can Anyone Help Me?
  7. Lel my first help topic....i feel liek a noob Anyways, I just wanted to know what the best codec would be if you were to make an animation in a dark setting. I ask this because when I export my animation, there seems to be alot of noise or weird mixtures of colors on the screen, or even making the animation a bit blurry. Thank you for your help.
