  1. Yup. For the few long time followers of mine who watched me right from my very first topic, you're probably going to shout: "WHAT THE HECK?! YOU WAITED UNTIL 1.0.0 TO RELEASE THIS GARBAGE?!" Well, sorry. I know, I delayed this little guy for far too long. My first rig became my 5th released one. Fear not, though, because Chest Head is a screenshot no more and somehow he's better than ever. But most of you don't know me, so here's a brief explanation of this delayed monstrosity: Chest head is a cartoon styled character made from simple blocks. (Or is he? - look closer) As the name suggests, he is distinguished by the chest on his head, worn like a hat/helmet. His head is in constant shade, and his eyes are large and comical. (an idea suggested by one of the people who responded to the original post) The way the chest is worn was also partly inspired by Mr. AR from the AR Games, a built in program on the Nintendo 3DS family of handheld systems. (Saying that gives me an idea. Watch this space) Now that the explanation is done, let me show you something. He's no longer a screenshot and I mean it! Get your own Chest Head here! http://www.datafilehost.com/d/dc97e490

  4. Hello everybody!! I've made this breaking block rig rig since everyone is wanting for them, so..... here it is!! NOW WITH DIAMONDS!! To make the animation of the breaking block, this what you should do: 4. Repeat step 2 - 3 and set the alpha of Stages until Stage 10, then make the animation of obtained block. How to: Kinda long isn't it? Well, I'll give you some screenshot: Want it? Click here for stone ! Click here for diamond !
  5. This is my first completed Minecraft animation. It took me 5 days, if you enjoy it please leave a comment and rating http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JV-4BS42VPA
  6. This is a pretty hard thing to do with GameMaker but none the less its possible. Example Physical Bodies: A soft body accepts deformation unlike a rigid body which denies it. There for when a rigid body falls, it rolls off of other objects still holding it's shape. Rigid body example. Soft body example. How to set up a dynamic body Creating a dynamic body The Glorious David I intend you to use this but I'm sure you have to adjust this to your standards or your set up variables but I hope it helps. Other people can use this to (I made it tutorial style to help people. Enjoy. Creating dynamic bodies is almost the same as creating static bodies. There is one extra argument for dynamic bodies: norotation. If norotation is true, the rotation of the body will not be influenced by other bodies (because the moment of inertia of the body is infinite). body = ep_body_create_dynamic(global.world,false); // false: this body can rotate. You have to set the center of mass, mass and moment of inertia of the body before you can use it. The easiest way to do this is calling ep_body_calculate_mass. This function will calculate the center of mass, mass and moment of inertia of the body based on the shapes you have added to the body. Circle shapes You can create circle shapes in the same way you create box shapes: Polygon shapes Creating polygon shapes is more complicated.(such as a torch or player), because you have to create a polygon first. A polygon can be used by multiple bodies, so usually you can create all polygons immediately after creating the world. There are two things you have to take in mind: Vertices have to be declared in clockwise order (in a left-handed coordinate system). All polygons have to be convex. If a body is concave you have to create multiple convex polygons. You can use multipolygons to accomplish that. Simulating You have to call ep_world_update_contacts and ep_world_simulate_step to simulate one step. Usually this is done in the end step event of the controller. After simulating a step you have to update the position and orientation of the objects in Game Maker to see the results of the simulation. This is usually done in the end step event of the objects. Tip you should probably destroy the object/player after leaving the room. Okay
  7. This block is very lost in Mine-imator. this is the only block that I have never heard in the forums ... animation of the block and information:http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Ender_Crystal
  8. images show the following. have the possibility to create a block containing custom particles. and with scale (size) unlimited, to create effects of biomes. for the "The Glorious David": http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=422338?st=0
  9. I think some sort of block alignment would make animating a little bit easier. Here are some possible scripts. snapX=32; //change the snapx so it will align with the other blocks. snapY=32; //change the snapy so it will align with the other blocks. for (i=0; i<room_width; i+=snapX) draw_line(i,0,i,room_height); for (i=0; i<room_height; i+=snapY) draw_line(0,i,room_width,i); Also, you need to have a set world size option. Add that as a string so room width and height will align etc. 2D 3D in progress for The Glorious David. P.S Should work for 3d for the most part but Isn't the best. var m, n; m = round(y/vsnap - x/hsnap); n = round(y/vsnap + x/hsnap); x = (n - m)/2*hsnap; y = (n + m)/2*vsnap; //this is a way to move them most likely what The Glorious David had. //possibly implementable.
  10. So... I was thinking maybe we should have a button in a keyframe that says 'Snap to ground' so we don't have to fuss over our character's feet partially in the ground or something. I think it would help us be more exact...? Possibly. (Note I do not know if this has been suggested yet) (I also do not know if something like this has been implemented yet.)
  11. Hey Guys! Block contacted me on skype and told me to post his animation here! -ALL CREDITS GO TO BLOCKMASTER239- Here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0quu6Kl7NE
  12. Hi Everyone! I was on Mine-Imator, you know, just having fun, trying to make an animation. I wanted to make an animation that showed steve pointing at a spot, and where he points, i want a block to appear. My problem is that when i add a block to the animation, and place it where it should be on the timeline, it stays in the animation the whole time. I want it to appear at a certain point. If anyone knows how to do this, please respond as soon as possible. Thank You! -Zack Attack

  18. So, I was wandering if someone could make a rig for the Minecraft paintings. It would be very useful, specially if you could use texture pack paintings too.
  19. I am making an intro for all my YouTube videos and I need a stone block text of my name, Zarberman. Call me lazy if you will, but I don't want to spend two hours making this. It needs to be normal sized, as if it was built in minecraft. It needs to just simply be a bunch of stone blocks organized to form the word, Zarberman. It needs to all be parented to one point so I can move it up and down easily. It also needs to be in the form of a .mani file, so I can add it to my animation easily. I will reward +1 reputation to whoever can do this for me. I hope this not asking too much. Here is an example of what I am asking for:
  20. Have lighting exactly where you want : - Option to click on a block to have it put as a light source because when you handle the lighting in background and move it, it goes too fast and you can't be quite precise ( useful for lava ) - You choose its intensity and it may change from different keyframes make a block glow more and more through time!!!
