  1. I think the problem at hand might be that your computer just isn't powerful enough to run Mine-Imator 2.0 or later since it's a lot more computing heavy than older versions. You could try downloading an older version of MI before 2.0, but I believe that those don't have Linux support. So it seems like you'll sadly have to find an alternative or buy a more powerful computer.
  2. I guess unzipping the .tar file is what I mean, yeah. And also, what you sent is your software I think. Since that says chromeOS, I guess you're running on a Chromebook? In that case, what exact model do you have?
  3. If you're on rendered viewmode, then this is normal. The project will lag a lot whenever you play it, change some values, or move the camera, until Mine-Imator has rendered all the samples for that frame(you can change the amount of samples in your render settings, I usually use 1 or 2 samples while making the project so it freezes as little as possible). Nothing to do with your project size or amount.
  4. Then the problem might go deeper. What's your hardware? Sadly, I don't have any experience or knowledge of Linux, but for windows, a fix is sometimes to use the .zip file and extract to another directory instead of using the .exe installer. Is there a similar thing you can do on Linux with installing to a different directory? If yes, then try doing that too.
  5. Does "txt 1k" refer to the texture size being 1k? That's a pretty large texture pack, have you tried others that are this big? Another thing I would ask is if your pack adds or modifies any of the models in the game. That might cause errors with Mine-Imator. What's your hardware(GPU, CPU, ram)? That might be a issue too.
  6. Try reinstalling the program if you haven't already.
  7. Performance on rendering mode is always bad, can confirm since I have a better GPU and Mine-Imator still lags when I put it on rendering mode. When you switch to rendering mode, Mine-Imator will render however many frames you set in your rendering settings. When it's done, it won't lag anymore until you change something in the viewport, at which point it will lag again. My suggestion is to lower the sample amount to one or two in the render settings(you can set them to "custom" to get the other options displayed) and then, once you're ready to render your scene and are happy with how it looks, up the sample amount again and render the image.
  8. Try reinstalling Mine-Imator. If that doesn't work, get the zip version, extract it and in the extracted folder, run Mine-Imator. If that doesn't work, install a different version, maybe 2.0 and try the zip for that as well if you still get the same error. If all of those don't work, you'll probably have to downgrade to 1.2.9. It doesn't have the advanced rendering features of modern Mine-Imator like reflections on blocks or paths and the UI looks very different. If you really want the more advanced features of 2.0 then I have heard that your graphics card being too weak can be the issue. I don't know for sure though.
  9. 1. Reinstall might fix it 2. If you're getting this error on 2.0 or one of it's pre-releases, get Mine-Imator 1.2.9 3. If option 2 worked but you want the more advanced rendering features of 2.0, maybe try a better GPU as that can be the cause of this error. At least I've heard.
  10. Your hardware might just be too weak or, if you have too many objects animated at the same time with things like bending and stuff, it might lag even with a decent computer. It won't lag in the final render however.
  11. Are you on the advanced version? When you launch a project, you will see green text at the top right saying something like "running in simple mode" or something similar. Clicking on it should lead you to instructions on how to upgrade Mine-Imator to unlock advanced mode.
  12. The part of the log you provided isn't the part that includes the error. You could send the entire .txt file by uploading it to Google drive or something, or make a YouTube video scrolling through it slowly.
  13. Happy new Year!!!! Hope all of you have a great time here on the forums!
  14. Ah, that's good! But I'm order for the importer to work correctly, you need to set up the texture in a specific way. Like I mentioned, tutorials on YouTube will show you how to do that. If that still doesn't work, then that's probably just because the extension still isn't perfect.
