That's actually the dumbest excuse I've ever heard. What's to be scared of? YOU are your only limitation. Don't be scared. If you won't try, you won't get better. But I feel you, buddy, I used to be like that myself. What could relieve that stress of yours, is sketching. Relax. Take a sheet of paper, a pencil and just draw, not worrying about the lines.
