  1. Random question: how many other people here think that most textures that don't follow the 16x16 style look bad and they don't entirely know why? I mean it seems that plenty of other people like higher-res models and textures but i almost never do, unless it's really well done.

      I think its just context, some packs have nice aesthetics, it depends on what you want.

      It's likely because Minecraft is and always has been low-res; it allows your imagination to create the detail, and everyone will interpret them a little differently.
      For example, Creepers may look evil and scary to some, but look unintimidating and cute to others (me ;~;).

      That's why I don't like the higher-res packs; they just make everything uncomfortably detailed and force a specific style onto you with no way to interpret it differently. Mobs that looked cute or cool in your eyes now look god-awful or really ugly, mainly because it's no longer your interpretation you can see; it's theirs.

      i mean i find 128x128 fine.It fits the mc style and does not look to over done.but stuff over that is just ehhh.Like it does not look good and the high pixel count compared to the basic shape kind of ruins the looks of things.
