Chromebooks ads are for naive college girls who know nothing about computers.

why are people acting crazy about finding luigi in the files of mario 64 if it was already possible to do things like texture and model mods, along with porting the game's models to other games? why wasn't luigi found before that leak?

controller controls on normal games: press A to jump and press start to bring up the main menu
controller controls on open world games for literally no reason (except for minecraft): press X to jump and click your right joystick to bring up the main menu

i actually did not think console wars would be still be extremely heavy on twitter, people calling each other out with immature "insulting" names and saying that they're not toxic while the irony is crystal clear

me: hey i'm simply gonna take some medium fries
mcdonald's employee: ok, medium fries
also the same mcdonald's employee: *gives an entire mansion up at the beverly hills with 10 triple big macs*

for some reason minecraft (bedrock) on switch was free so i tried it out and now i have PTSD from the awfully illogical chunk loading, bad controls and slow GUIs, along with the constant ear damaging sound cutoffs (especially on the character creator which lags alot for some reason even though it doesn't even show the character, same goes with using emotes ingame)
i don't know why they even needed to change the controls while they were great on legacy console mc

been playing animal crossing new horizons for the first time and holy crap, it's infuriatingly tedious, grindy and time wasting. you just constantly run around trying to find fish/insects and complete small tasks. if you buy an item, you have to literally wait for a real life day, and there's not even splitscreen but instead some annoying leader stuff
i really can't understand the hype for this game especially when it's this boring and costs 80 dollars
-
Animal Crossing isn't exactly the type of game where one plays/grinds for hours in order to get the most enjoyment out of it. It's a game meant to be played in small intervals, like during a break, and you're expected to take your time instead of trying to rush through the activities. Basically, it's a game that you play when your relaxing, not exactly to challenge yourself.
Don't worry, though, I still completely understand where you're coming from. I recall buying and anticipating Stardew Valley a lot, as I heard rave reviews about it and I thought the general mechanics looked interesting, but, when I actually played the game, it just didn't click well with me. Still good game, but it just wasn't my type.

ngl personally i think the modelbench section on the forums landing page should be under mine imator instead of on top, it's quite frustrating to see so many people post their mine imator bugs on the modelbench bugs category

game company specific launchers are dumb when the games are on large distribution platforms

will there be a time where open world games (not procedurally generated ones) will be larger than planet earth without the devs realizing?

-
A large game like that that is not generated like mc would probably take petabytes of storage
-
OH, sorry, I didn't realize what you were asking.
I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen in the near future.
But here's the thing: people have already made something called a quantum computer. It has about 250 million gigabytes of storage space. So if you managed to get your hands on one of those somehow (they're pretty huge,) You could either make a normal-sized game with an impossible amount of detail, or you could (probably) make a lowpoly game with a world possibly reaching the size of Earth.
