  1. What if someone made a mod in mine-imator that had a chat and server kinda thing, and you could project from the server host, and if someone’s editing an object, it would turn grey  and have low alpha or something, you could set limits to downloading or have a toggle to make automatically downloaded assets hidden in non rendered mode, imported assets would be automatically downloaded to the other users computers ofc, and you could kick or ban people from joining the server IP.

I mean, WE WANT MULTI-USER MINEIMATOR!!!

(Well they would be working in separate editors ect but meh)

(also that sentence made no sense I should prolly rewrite it but I’m too lazy)

    ok rewrite time

What if someone made a mod for MI that added a chat and server system?

So, someone could join using IP, PORT, and KEY fields (key is a password) and they would download all of the project assets onto their computer (just gonna add here, maybe in a new directory like collaborative-projects).

When a user edits an object, it turns grey and loses some alpha and becomes un-editable for other users.

The host could ban or kick users from the server and delete user messages, and have to option to remove all changes or x amount of changes from the kicked / banned user. (Like the undo system).

If a user imports assets they get downloaded to the other users computers automatically, and will be hidden in low quality mode (toggleable).

also the mod could be a separate client from normal mine-imator ofc

You'd still have to send the same amount of data on changes, it'd just delay the time it's sent

So if originally we were going for ~realtime, it would send the position rotation and bend on every step, even for incomplete actions, now it would only send it when you’re done moving the part.

Oh. I guess if there's a lot of "wasted changes" before the final position is saved then it's an all-round save on data sent in that case.
