9redwoods got a reaction from A Frencho Robot in The most anticipated update is going to be the absolute worst it looks like.
Any new mechanic either only receives two or three uses, or loops back into existing features. When's the new game-changing feature as big as enchanting?

That's very very wrong. A lot of girls are into art and animation.

The majority of the Users in this Forums are Bois. Make sense remembering that Girls more Interested at Photo, and Music stuff like Tik Tok more, than Animators.
Edit:Not All Girls.

9redwoods reacted to Floofy in I changed my mind. While it is a non issue and I don't really care if the icon change
Didn't say it was the logo, its an icon, most logos have an icon with them, not just the name of the program, youve also made alot of excuses to not change it, first "not enough people are complaining" then when people started talking about it you change it to "its not that important"

The thing is, given that you said you were doing that "if that's what it takes to end the pings.", it sounds like you're doing this just to shut everyone up rather than to get feedback from the userbase.
Also, I'd like to clarify that while I don't have as big a problem with the icon as others, I'm finding your handling of this situation rather questionable imo.

Welp, I feel like this is gonna be an exact repeat of what happened when Google updated their app icons, with people complaining about it for a day or two and then collectively forgetting about it, but eh.
I might have a few early designs that might satisfy some of you better, if that's what it takes to end the pings.

About that, though. If it's just going to sit in the taskbar, I still want it to be differentiated from basically every other program that uses a filmstrip for its icon. I liked the old MI icon because it immediately said "Mine-Imator" as opposed to just "-Imator."
Also, it's not that I don't like change. I do feel like the old MI icon needs some improving, I just don't like the latest concept as much.
-
9redwoods reacted to Draco63 in I can't understand why the new Mine-imator icon Voxy showed is getting so much hate.
Which new MI icon?
-
9redwoods reacted to Voxy in saw this on a post, is it a new logo or just an export icon?. if it's a new logo, it
You need to learn the difference between an icon and a logo, then. This is the new logo, which has been sitting in our signatures for a while now:
The filmstrip icon is... just an icon. Who cares? It's just gonna sit in your taskbar or show up as a favicon, and for that purpose, I think it represents 'animation' a looot better than the blurry mess the current icon turns into if you shrink it down, even if isn't as Minecraft-y as the previous one.
Also, saying it's "not appealing" is just a matter of taste. Personally, I find the new icons much more pleasant to look at than ones you can't even properly read unless they're 100px tall.
