Anyone need something modeled for a resource pack?
-
Hey where the heck is duplicate element in the new Modelbench?!

A fix will be issued for the missing options too.
-
Why Minecraft with RTX will be better than super duper graphics pack:
For one thing, ray-tracing!
It will be free, whereas super duper was paid;
It's a setting that can be applied to any resource pack. You can add bump maps, specular and whatever in resource packs. Super duper was a pack itself.

@MojangYang YOu dOnT ******* SaY
-
If Java Edition is the best version, how come it's got the least players?
-
I love how Mojang took an update to mountains people voted on and turned it into a surface generation overhaul, along with new underground generation.
They're changing a lot of stuff other than mountains.

Minecraft bedrock.....
Such a hideous block. Back when I was an early player I used to build everything with it cause it's indestructible(idk)
Ha

And I respect that fact. But I do not respect how microsoft/mojang is giving the version old scripts that were used on Java edition, such as the graphics settings it has (The bad lighting I'm referring to), the sudden "stop" when flying in the air (referring to when you stop moving you actually STOP like snap), etc etc. There are many potential ways how microsoft/mojang can fix the bedrock version, but yet they move on and do other things. Most of the time they don't give y'all the full features of an update that the java version has. (Such as the foxes)
-
Both versions have their upsides and downsides.
Nuff said.
End of discussion.

While it's great that Bedrock is now getting an entire update dedicated to parity with Java, one thing I hope doesn't come to Bedrock is the Java flying mechanics.
I guess it's because I'm not used to it, but I can hardly ever build anything cause of the drifting. On Bedrock when you stop moving you come to a dead stop, which I think makes for easier building and works better for controllers.
I'v got nothing against Java's flying, like I said, I'm just not used to it, but I prefer the, I wanna say, simpler Bedrock flying mechanics without the drifting.
I doubt they will give Bedrock Java's flying, nor vice versa. I mean, they already said they're not going to change Bedrock's redstone to match java for some dumb reason, so I don't think they'll be changing any major game mechanics.

@__Mine__ The whole point of this combat development is that they're taking in community input.
If you don't like something, you should say so. There could be thousands who agree with you, and you can make the changes happen.
I mean, It worked for bedrock. We're getting a parity update now. That would be feedback's handiwork.

"Impeachment Eve" is trending on Twitter. Really?
They won't get enough votes to do it, even if they do it would only help him get re-elected.

so, I homeschool. kinda. I have a "community day" once a week where we share info, have conversations, and learn the new work material for the next week.
one day the conversation drifted to Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton, and the democrats and a lot of really dumb opinions and ideas.
our conclusion?
if the democrats win, America will literally cease to exist as we know it. not like nuclear war or anything, but bad laws getting passed and terrorists essentially getting free reign.
no joke.

I hope Java's data packs are someday as powerful and useful as Bedrock's behavior packs.

This conversation really didn't need to escalate to this point. Why can't we all just be civil with each other?

Marvel is taking this too far. Avengers Endgame marked the end of the Infinity Stones, first destroyed by Thanos, then returned to their respective timelines.
But they're all coming back into the MCU.
Disney+ show "Loki" will see the return of the Space Stone
WandaVision will somehow bring back the Mind Stone, as well as Vision himself.
It's been hinted that the Time Stone may return in Doctor Strange 2.

The Falcon and Winter Soldier in August, the Mandalorian season 2 in October, and WandaVision in December.
Lots of good stuff on Disney+...really really late in the year.

Damn, calm down everyone... No need to downvote this guy into oblivion just for sharing his opinion...
Is this seriously what this community has become? I'm disappointed.

Controversial Minecraft opinion: They should change the tool upgrade system to be the way it is with the smithing table in today's snapshot. You put in a diamond tool/armor with netherite ingot to get netherite tool/armor.
I kinda wish it was that way from the beginning of survival. Except for the wood sword, it would be stone sword + iron ingot = iron sword, and so on.
That means you'd have to go through gold tools to get to diamond, which would add a reason to get them in the first place(other than for piglin protection, i guess)
Anyway, just an idea I thought was interesting.

@MojangYang @__Mine__ I got to the letter M, and then autocomplete took over. I didn't even realize it was wrong
-
@__Mine__ I think that the MC team is probably a group of (at least mostly) reasonable human beings, so I doubt that they're going to let the player be superior to the mobs forever. If I know anything about their updates, I would guess that they're probably going to surprise us with an even more OP mob, or even a (mini)boss. (I hope.)
-
A nice thought, but considering the player has been completely dominant over the mobs for the past couple of years now, I have doubts, especially since it seems pretty clear Mojang don't have any intention of adding any more mobs anytime soon. I seriously want to be wrong about all of this, though.
Not to mention it's now going to be very hard to re-balance the game's difficulty now that Netherite exists, pushing the already-OP top tier to near-game-breaking levels.
Stronger and more durable than Diamond, higher enchantability, fire resistance and knockback resistance? Once you get it you may as well be playing on Peaceful mode, because all of the mobs will become pitifully weak and the Ender Dragon becomes even easier due to knockback being her only really significant threat, which Netherite negates.Couple this all with the equally-OP and laughably easy-to-make Shield, and you're literally invincible.
Sure, it seems nice at first to finally have something better than Diamond, and I get it's a bit harder to get than other ores, but in my opinion such a thing really should've stayed as a mod, because there's really nothing else in the game that's good enough to counter it.
So many people whining for a cave update, yet the game's immense Power-Creep problem is what really needs fixing lol
...Sorry again for all of this. I need to stop making huge paragraphs about things no-one cares about, what is wrong with me smh

Just bought a new PC so I can play Half Life Alyx!

Ugh. People are completely misinterpreting what the President said.
He said, quote , "...Don't be afraid of Covid. Don't let it dominate your life...".
People are taking this to mean ignor the virus, it won't kill you.
That's not at all what he meant. I can't believe people don't get it.
He was being encouraging. Uplifting. Giving a message of hope.
He went on later to elaborate saying, "Don't be afraid of covid. You can beat this. You're going to beat this. We have the best doctors, equipment and treatment." Thats a quote-ish thing, here's the full video.
Sorta like what doctors call bedside manner.
I mean, imagine you're in the hospital with the virus and scared to death. Then the leader of your country tells you you're going to be fine. Saying he's had it, and he beat it and you will too.
Obviously he has no way to know someone's condition, or whether or not they'll live, but that's a pretty good message. At least something better to think about than despair.
At least, that's how I saw it.- Show previous comments 12 more

@david NOOO! Not you too! Get out of here quick before the politics corrupt you!

Again? How 'bout that

What? You keep going back to the same point, I already said I'm not in direct support of talking about politics. But if we restrict what content is said here the community dies. I don't see what's wrong with someone posting on their own profile what they want to, there is nothing in the rules against discussing politics. Even the mods were discussing it during election day

Looks like another Minecraft feature is unarguably better on bedrock. Structure blocks!
First off, there's the obvious. The 3d preview. Awesome.
They can also include entities in the structure(I don't think Java can do that?)
The structure size limit it 64 blocks rather than 32.
You can save to memory(your world folder) or you can save the structure to where ever you want on your computer.
- Show previous comments 11 more
-
Well in this case I think it's justified. The structure block is a creative tool to make building easier.

Hey! You changed your name back!. yay.

1.15 should be called "The 'bout Time Update". Adding 10 years worth of requested features
Yeah I know, 1.14 just came out, and I'm already looking at 1.15.
I'v had village and pillage for almost a month thanks to a Bedrock bug giving everyone the 1.11 beta, that's why.

@Cubic Ralsei they said guns are never coming.
@Mineshaft Animation I was not acting like Java users don't get to test things. Try learning to read.
@Foxtrot0806 I know. Apparently, they're not considered a village and pillage feature and have been pushed back for about 3 months.

Ya know, really the Minecraft community owes a lot to Console Edition. For example, the 1.9 ender dragon fight changes. The end pillars are consistent, they 2 of them have iron bar cages around them, and the end portal is there at the beginning. These features were a port to Java Edition from Console Edition. And it's quite possible that the other changes to the End in 1.9 happened as a result of this. I mean, maybe they decided to port this from Console, then decided to further change the End. Idk. But Console Edition is the reason one of the(arguably) best features in 1.9. But many, many features in Bedrock 1.2 were from Console Edition. And Console Edition will continue to influence the future of Minecraft(Because 4J Studios, the company that ported Minecraft to consoles, is working on developing Bedrock, making it better for Xbox users. And Bedrock will likely be influencing Java.
I'm glad 4J is ending Console Edition on a high note, by making the last update be(arguably) the best update(Update Aquatic)
*Note: If you play Minecraft on PS4, you'v nothing to worry about. It will continue to get updates, for a while at least. If you hear about Sony getting Bedrock on ps4, worry.

@Spontaneous Explosions Seriously, how are they "very different things"? Admit it, you're wrong.
-
They are quite different. I have issues with it that i think most people would overlook(mainly the creative flying movement). But in my opinion, console edition is just better. The thing is, xbox on edition for example is "Xbox one edition". However, bedrock on xbox one is "Minecraft on xbox one" see what i mean? One of them is built to run on consoles. Bedrock isn't. It's just built to run.

@Foxtrot0806 did you literally lose your hair or metaphorically?

@MikTRF I have something very similar to a buzzcut now. It's not all gone. Just a majority of it.
And, Swift. The XB1X is just another XB1 so any games for it will run on the One S.

Do you really not have a MInecraft account?

I'm thinking of buying a Switch. Can anyone who owns one tell me if it's actually worth $300?

Got mine around a week after it was first launched in stores here in Australia.
I still play it regularly.Alot of the issues I've seen and heard online(Case randomly chipping, unknown scratches appearing , over heating etc) are things I've never experienced myself, ever. So I can't speak on behalf of those.
Has a decent range of games generally.
I also recommend getting a nicely sized memory card for it too, if you plan to buy and download a ton of the games via the online store.
The best part definitely has to be the flexibility. While I do enjoy playing with Pro controller, it is still great and enjoyable to lay down lazylike playing with the Joy cons in each hand, while splayed across the lounge(Sofa?). Aswell as being able to play anywhere at anytime. Reminds me of the Gameboy days almost.Battery life depends on the game, but it still lasts a long time regardless.
Customization alone is worth it in itself.
Dock socks, sleeves, battery packs, handles, controllers etc Can all be custom ordered and bought with pre design templates, or with your own design if you find a seller who does them custom. (I got alot of my custom gear on Etsy)So yes, you should get one. Lasts a long time if you enjoy the games and look after it properly.
Very much worth it.

For the MineCon biome vote, my initial choice would be savanna(because things like elephants and giraffes and stuff like that could come?) But that's before I know what would be coming in each update.
Each one of them has certainly had some amount of development, because any one of them must be ready to release this year hopefully(If they're to meet their 2 updates per year goal)
Without knowing anything about the tiaga, savanna or desert update, what would you choose?
-
Here's an interesting Minecraft question for you:
If Mojang decided to remove bats from the game without putting it on any change log or saying anything about it, how long would it be before someone noticed they were gone?
