  1. I love how Mojang took an update to mountains people voted on and turned it into a surface generation overhaul, along with new underground generation.

They're changing a lot of stuff other than mountains.

  3. Xbox E3 stream was incredible.

They announced the Outer Worlds 2, which I'll definitely look forward to playing.

As expected they showed more of Halo Infinite which looks absolutely incredible!

Yet despite Halo being present, the game that stole the show was Forza Horizon 5. That game looks insane. Truly a next gen experience. And it's coming this November.

They showed a lot of other stuff that I wasn't interested in lol. Can't wait for Halo and Forza this year!

  4. I just remembered that I exist, so I'm making this because of that.

The new look is most excellent.

  6. Portal 2 is 10 years old today.

One of the best games. Ever. In general.

  7. Lol the day after they remove new cave generation from Java is the day they add it to a Bedrock Beta.

My theory is that the cave gen cannot coexist across the two versions. Only one can have it at a time for some reason.

I still hold to my theory that Microsoft is trying to subtly force Bedrock on people because it gets them more money.

@Draco63 I agree, especially when there's also the forced migration to Microsoft accounts... it seriously feels like they're either making plans to add micro-transactions to Java Edition, or killing it off entirely.

@__Mine__ No I dont think that's right. Im pretty sure they used the mobs and blocks as examples. They said the biggest part of the update, actual generation, would be in a second part. That being said, we may get all of the features without the generation, they really should have delayed the update. Hell I really dont think Mojang should be even announcing when they want to get an update out if they really dont want to stress their team.

    3. Draco63

      Draco63

I mean, I honestly don't care all that much. If it somehow manages to make it better in the end, I'm fine with it. I would prefer to get just-as-frequent snapshots with content that's a little bit less massive than to wait months for updates.

And who knows, they may still do some really cool stuff in these next few months, just less worldgen focused.

I also waiting it not just Minecraft,But MI too.
      When Minecraft 1.17 came out,Then Mine-Imator 1.3.0 Released.

And I can sure that they took to long to Releasing it maybe because of the World situation right now,The usual they work on the Mojang Office, now they work from home. Not really sure what it actually Seems like.

  9. Mojang: Iron, gold, and copper ore blocks now drop raw iron, gold and copper ore instead of the block.

  10. Marvel has delayed Black Widow for what I believe will be the final time.

It's now going to release on July 9, in theaters and Disney+ premiere access. That's good. At this time last year I was all hyped for the movie so they need to release more trailers to get the hype train moving again.

  11. So today I was in an argument of Bedrock Vs Java, and oddly enough I found myself arguing in favor of Java...

    ?

When was I converted to Java supremacy?

I still play mostly on Bedrock lol.

    1. Draco63

      Draco63

Yeah, I definitely lean more towards Java. I do think that Bedrock has some great things, (I can spend hours with the Education Edition features because I'm nerdy that way,) but the monetization and the way that Microsoft tries to put it forward as the "better" version (because it gives them more money) is what kills it for me.

  12. Oh great, looks like the weather is getting a jump on things. Spring doesn't begin for a few days, but already tornadoes are forecast for tomorrow.

  13. I think we all know that Mephisto is disguising himself as Zemo in Falcon and Winter Soldier...

  14. Anyone else have a Minecraft world or worlds that is much more than just a world?

Over the past 5 years my brother and I spent a lot of time building a world. But he left and joined the Army a few months ago. I haven't touched the world since, and I don't think I will again.

I remember back in December of 2016 I think, late at night loading up this world for the first time on Xbox 360 in eager anticipation of what was the Console Edition equivalent of 1.9. I remember defeating the Ender Dragon for the first time. Transferring the world to Xbox One Edition and eventually Bedrock for the Update Aquatic. Even losing it to corruption multiple times(thankfully being able to recover it) and one time on Bedrock accidentally deleting it and have to revert back to the latest Xbox One Edition version and rebuild a year's worth of progress(In creative of course. Ain't no one got time to rebuild that in survival). There's projects that are big and beautiful, some that are just hideous, but I never think of destroying them. Some that were never even completed.

But now that this incredible journey is seemingly over, looking back I realize it was never what version we were playing, or what we were building or doing, but just being there doing it was the best part. I can get so caught up in whatever the next big update is and all the amazing features being added, but this made me remember why I fell in love with the game in the first place.

What was once my survival world is now a priceless archive of some of my fondest memories.

Now, I have no intention of quitting Minecraft. In fact I'm looking forward to beginning a brand new adventure when the Caves and Cliffs update releases.

Feels silly to post something like this, but I was just thinking about it, so idk.

      MojangYang

I cheated on my first survivalworld. shame.

I duped rails, turned on peaceful mode, flew around looking for building spots in creative, went mining with creative mode, and "borrowed" a beacon and 9 iron blocks from the creative inventory. that was 2016

I created my current world in 2018 and vowed to never cheat in any form, and beat the dragon. locked myself in normal to prevent myself from using peaceful mode to escape monsters

    3. Draco63

      Draco63

@MojangYang some friends and I started a small SMP, and it's really helped me to do survival the way it was intended. I got a full set of netherite for the first time through my own work, as opposed to things like peaceful mode.

    4. __Mine__

      __Mine__

I still have my first ever world from way back in early September 2011, almost two months before I bought my account (yeah, I played cracked MC before then lol). It was very creatively named "World 1".

And to this day, almost 10 years later, I still have 23 Stone sitting in my Furnace waiting to be collected.

  15. Well Wandavision is over.

It took me until July last year to get over Marvel Withdrawal Syndrome, but it appears the symptoms of MWS are returning. Fortunately, only 2 weeks until The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

  16. Yesterday 343 did their monthly blog on the development of Halo Infinite.

And wow has it improved since July. In the showcase last year, people complained about the graphics quality, and rightly so. It literally looked like an early XB1 game. I don't whether the new images they released look "next-gen" or not, but its beautiful all the same.

    20210227-000100.jpg

    20210227-000106.jpg

But what really strikes me is not so much the graphics quality, but the art style. They've said that this game is intended to be a "spiritual reboot" and feel like Halo:CE.

    Zombo-Droid-26022021154456.jpg

This game is looking more like Halo:Combat Evolved than Halo:CE Anniversary did.

    20210226-235249.jpg

Maybe its just me, idk. They did have to delay this game to the Fall, and there's no official release date, but I bet it'll be November 15, 2021, because that would 20 years to the day after Halo:CE came out. They won't miss out on that marketing opportunity.

I like it, it still fits that original halo style which is neat

  17. The third MCU Spider-Man movie is titled Spider-Man: No Way Home. And Star Wars: The Bad Batch begins streaming on May 4'th!

    1. Bugleberry

      Bugleberry

What, why do we need a bad batch series? They had their ark complete by the end of those episodes. I don't see a point in the mutant ninja turtle clone troopers running around and killing things being made into a series

wasn't spiderman already in the marvel cinematic universe before the newer movies?

@Swift Personally I'm excited for the show not because of the characters but because of when it is. It'll be in the immediate aftermath of order 66, an time period that wasn't much explored in canon or legends. So we don't need it, but we didn't need Clone Wars or Rebels either.

@Cryptic Runner No. There were two other versions, but as of now they're not MCU canon(but this may change because multiverse)

  18. Spoiler for Wandavision Ep.7

    ...

Somehow I get the idea that it was Agatha all along. ?

  19. Xbox just announced Xbox Wireless Headset.

Looks great actually, its wireless, high quality and at $99 relatively low priced compared to some other headphones(ahem Apple).

But here's the problem: it connects wirelessly in the same way as the controllers do, by syncing it with the console.

...why not just have Bluetooth on Xbox? Then you could just sync any Bluetooth headphones you have.

That was a rhetorical question. The answer is obviously money.

  20. Again? How 'bout that

      Bugleberry

What? You keep going back to the same point, I already said I'm not in direct support of talking about politics. But if we restrict what content is said here the community dies. I don't see what's wrong with someone posting on their own profile what they want to, there is nothing in the rules against discussing politics. Even the mods were discussing it during election day

    4. Floofy

      Floofy

I'm not saying restrict everything non mc, I'm just stating how ridiculous and stupid it is to continue talking about politics on a mc 3d animation software site, its not that deep

  21. Just watched the latest episode of Wandavision (no spoilers)

All I can say is that it should be illegal to end anything in a cliffhanger like that. Its too much.

    1. Draco63

      Draco63

Plenty of things do awful, devestating cliffhangers all the time. It makes you wonder what happens next, and that keeps you watching when the next episode/season/movie comes out. It's insurance for the people who make it that you won't abandon them and give your money to someone else.

    2. Spontaneous Explosions

      Spontaneous Explosions

I understand the purpose of it.

I was exaggerating. I'm just saying this episode ended on a cliffhanger larger than any previous episode.

  22. So in the today's snapshot they increased the world height. But it seems to me they did it in the worst way possible.

So, what they did was add 64 blocks to the bottom and 64 to the top, so the lowest you can go is y-64 and the highest y320, for a total of 384.

It would've been better just to add 128 blocks on top I think, because now they've got to figure a way to convert old worlds and continue generation downward which supposedly could cause some issues. For one thing the transition wouldn't be seamless, and another being anything you've built at bedrock level could be warped or destroyed altogether(I say this because of the way MC Xbox One world borders were dealt with when converting to Bedrock Edition in that builds near the old world border are destroyed). Of course its entirely possible they'll do it completely different, I am just speculating after all.

I also see how lowering the world 64 will make for larger caves, which is a good thing.

So I like that they lowered it, but also think that it may be problematic. Maybe the best route is to just not increase the height of old worlds, or just add 128 blocks on top of old worlds. But idk, we'll just see what they do.

@__Mine__ I agree with most of what you said, but when I said add 128 blocks to the top of worlds I guess i meant just 128 blocks of air that the play can build in. Hadn't thought about the fact that generation would change.

Yeah, but since the intent is to give caves more space, splitting that extra height is actually pretty good, and the way they've chosen to implement it is also the most seamless, all things considered.

    4. Heavenira

      Heavenira

Did not know this. That's really interesting. The increased height has obsolesced every mining guide imaginable. Despite this, I'm curious to see where they're going to take this.

  23. Don't know how I missed it, but yesterday they announced a new series coming to Disney+

    Black Panther: Kingdom of Wakanda

Really looking forward to this. Sucks that it won't actually have Black Panther in it though.?

  24. Ok, today's episode of Wandavision was insane.

I cannot believe I spent months talking about how stupid this show was going to be.

It has no business being this good. Watching episode 4, I never would've thought this was an episode of a show. The effects were movie quality. The opening for this episode was a masterpiece, showing the chaos of the reverse-snap on the ground level, truly brilliant. It felt like an Endgame after credits scene.

So far I'm liking it more than my least favorite MCU film, Captain Marvel. Although it's nice to know that the side characters in that movie do serve a purpose.

  25. I can't understand why the new Mine-imator icon Voxy showed is getting so much hate.

Personally, I like it a lot. I love how simplistic and modern looking it is.

Yeah, I don't think two downvotes and a negative comment about is a big deal. If the reaction was stronger and more divisive, then I would've considered designing it differently, but I think the handful of reluctant people will either get used to it over time, or they can just... make a shortcut and edit its icon if they really don't like it. ?

    4. Draco63

      Draco63

      Nvm, found it.

I do like the cleaner design, it matches with the style of the MI interface more.

But tbh, I do think that it doesn't really suggest "Minecraft" enough.
