  1. Anyone else have a Minecraft world or worlds that is much more than just a world?

Over the past 5 years my brother and I spent a lot of time building a world. But he left and joined the Army a few months ago. I haven't touched the world since, and I don't think I will again.

I remember back in December of 2016 I think, late at night loading up this world for the first time on Xbox 360 in eager anticipation of what was the Console Edition equivalent of 1.9. I remember defeating the Ender Dragon for the first time. Transferring the world to Xbox One Edition and eventually Bedrock for the Update Aquatic. Even losing it to corruption multiple times(thankfully being able to recover it) and one time on Bedrock accidentally deleting it and have to revert back to the latest Xbox One Edition version and rebuild a year's worth of progress(In creative of course. Ain't no one got time to rebuild that in survival). There's projects that are big and beautiful, some that are just hideous, but I never think of destroying them. Some that were never even completed.

But now that this incredible journey is seemingly over, looking back I realize it was never what version we were playing, or what we were building or doing, but just being there doing it was the best part. I can get so caught up in whatever the next big update is and all the amazing features being added, but this made me remember why I fell in love with the game in the first place.

What was once my survival world is now a priceless archive of some of my fondest memories.

Now, I have no intention of quitting Minecraft. In fact I'm looking forward to beginning a brand new adventure when the Caves and Cliffs update releases.

Feels silly to post something like this, but I was just thinking about it, so idk.

I cheated on my first survivalworld. shame.

I duped rails, turned on peaceful mode, flew around looking for building spots in creative, went mining with creative mode, and "borrowed" a beacon and 9 iron blocks from the creative inventory. that was 2016

I created my current world in 2018 and vowed to never cheat in any form, and beat the dragon. locked myself in normal to prevent myself from using peaceful mode to escape monsters

@MojangYang some friends and I started a small SMP, and it's really helped me to do survival the way it was intended. I got a full set of netherite for the first time through my own work, as opposed to things like peaceful mode.

I still have my first ever world from way back in early September 2011, almost two months before I bought my account (yeah, I played cracked MC before then lol). It was very creatively named "World 1".

And to this day, almost 10 years later, I still have 23 Stone sitting in my Furnace waiting to be collected.
