I see what you are going for, it's a neat idea.
Some quick tips for next time you make a render (Don't worry, this isn't me telling your render is bad ^^;)
For lighting, never use default Mine Imator lighting and don't use the default night time. Keep it day and change the colours in the background settings
Also, use a resource pack that seperates the 'glowing' parts from the 'non glowing' parts for torches
And finally, mess around with scenery and fog.
