  1. Slightly convoluted, but to switch cameras you need to make them "visible" in the keyframe options. So the camera you don't want to use anymore you switch Visible to off, and at the same time switch the new camera to Visible. And I don't mean visible as in clicking the eye icon in the timeline, I mean at the very bottom of the sidebar when you have the camera selected. I would give a screenshot if I was on my computer right now.
  2. Last call for survey participants, I'll be closing it tonight or tomorrow.

Is it still open? I mean, it says it is, but it's been a few days since you said you'd close it.

I thought replies would slow down but there's still been a steady stream. I guess I'll keep it open for a few more days and make another announcement.

  3. I like how this has more content per topic than other comics. Some that I see are just a single page. One thing I'd like to say though is instead of using "door opening/closing sounds" you could get creative and use things like "schwoop" or "shvvvvt". Idk, what you use technically works but it could definitely be a little more creative or comic book-y if you'd like. Good stuff though, I like the comics.
  4. Unfortunately Discord doesn't allow users under 13 years old, so the Mine-imator Discord has to follow their rules. We do allow under 13 users on the forums as long as they have their parent's permission though, which you can read about in the Privacy Policy.
  5. Really just so everyone can get an idea of the kind of people on the forums. They're really just for fun.
  6. In case you didn't see it

    The more responses the better!

  7. Welcome! A bit late this time around but the survey is back nonetheless, with some tweaks, some old questions removed, some new questions added, and fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun! For those who don't know, the Mine-imator Forums Survey is an anonymous questionnaire to find out about who uses the forums. There are no personal questions, I can't see who you are, it's just to get your opinion on certain forum-related topics. If you're interested, here's the link! Results will be shared publicly (again, anonymously) in a few days. https://forms.gle/QT4YZmWVGoR9x1Bn8 April 2019 Results (previous) Megathread
  8. They also could have renamed the file. Either way just import it again and it'll probably work from now on
  9. Wait me too, I always saved and reopened the project lmao

I'm locking this for obvious reasons. The thread has clearly derailed.
  11. Here's what I think the Revenge Reanimated Collab did wrong, just for future reference for you potential collab hosts in the future. I'm not here to call out the hosts or anyone participating, just to point out what went wrong throughout.

First of all, there was an extremely frustrating lack of communication. There were no Discord mentions ever from either of the collab hosts when they told us very important information, such as:

    • Switching collab hosts
    • Nearing deadline
    • There are still people who need to submit an entry
    • Hosts don't know who still need to submit

This lack of communication caused my problem. I submitted both my entries to the first host months ago, which he confirmed, and I assumed I was safe. Check back into that channel for fun in late September, and I find out the host is switched and the new host doesn't think I even submitted anything. If I had never checked in, my part of the collab would be completely missing. If the deadline is that close and has been delayed so many times, you need to tell people instead of blaming them for being lazy. The deadline was missed so many times because people either forgot the deadline or thought they were fine. I don't know how many people finished but weren't in the video, but judging by the fact a third of the final video is just the original, I can't be the only one.

You can't just assume people will constantly check back on the channel. Please tell people things. Also, manage your entries better. I don't know how my entries were lost in translation, nor how many others were lost.

Secondly, the editing wasn't the best. There wasn't a huge effort to sync stuff to the music. I get that it was rushed, but again, it didn't have to be rushed. The video itself feels scrambled together. When watching the video you can tell there were huge problems in the development of it. I get that the host editing it probably felt overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. In the host's mind at the time, half the people who entered are totally flaking out and not submitting their entries. That's not the case for most of it, but all of this would have been solved if the hosts kept constant communication with their entrants. Delay it again if you have to, just never leave blank spots in a collab. It's absolutely messy and completely takes away from any positive aspect of the video.

Also, I wasn't tagged in the topic, even though I was in the video. Not a big deal, I just don't know why that happened or what went wrong. Maybe they were using an outdated list, maybe it's partially for the same reason they didn't have my submission. Either way there was something to be handled better there.

Again, no disrespect towards either of the hosts. They didn't realize what they were doing wrong and didn't know what to do in certain situations. I'm not here to chastise them, just to point out what can be handled better in future collabs. I know from personal experience that both hosts are cool and talented dudes. Mistakes were made along the way, which is okay! But they're worth talking about.

    That'll be all, thank you.

Sounds good n’ all but could you show an image of how this product would turn out?

Are you making this, Rollo? Sounds lit.

  13. My guess is they put the camera in layers of folders, using specific folders to move specific directions. This allows you to keyframe movement directions and rotations separately from each other to make smooth arcs. It also lets you use special transitions for movement without affecting, say, the rotation. Edit: The video @radhouane2001920019@ shared is what I mean. It's been a common trick for years, I found it through KicksBrickster who no longer uses the forums.
  14. Select the helicopter, and change its "Render Depth" to something higher. Anything works as long as its Render Depth is higher than that of the character or anything else inside it.
  15. I hope to God Disney doesn't remake their anime films in live action

  16. Can confirm, it probably won't happen. It's possible to convert it, but making the controls work well on a touchscreen, the interface look good on a small screen, and the program run well on a device way weaker than the average computer are completely different beasts to tackle. In the long run it's just not worth it. It's been suggested many times over the years, but the answer is always no. In fact, I think I suggested it a few years ago. It's just too much effort for something that is guaranteed to not work well.
  17. All good, just making sure! Moved to Random/Test Animations.
  18. I can move it for you if you feel like it should be, but if you plan on updating this project later and making another post then Work In Progress works great!
  19. Sleepy sleepy hehe I sleep xoxo

  20. Incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic no one had a chance to interrupt it was quite hypnotic

  21. .MOV is exclusive to QuickTime, so that would make sense. Have you tried .AVI? And I've installed QuickTime on Windows 10 before, so I'm not sure why your installation would be failing.
  22. This is an issue with Hitfilm (and other software too, like Sony Vegas), not Mine-imator. One possible solution is installing Apple Quicktime player, but that doesn't work for everyone and Apple Quicktime is dumb. I'd just export as something other than mp4 or ask on Hitfilm support forums, if they exist, since I haven't worked with Hitfilm much. The solution for Sony Vegas is really hacky and probably not the same as Hitfilm.
  23. What exactly was happening when you got this crash? What were you trying to do?
