Guess so. I'm sure you'll do a great job. Well, technically you already have on your first update so...

  4. Wrote a thread on twitter concerning Modelbench 1.0.0. Consider reading it if you'd like; https://twitter.com/NimiKitamura/status/1061577272040321024

I'd be alright with either, although I can't speak for the whole MB community.

You deserve something for all your hard work, that's for sure.

  5. Not sure if I mentioned it here on the forums(I know I have on the Discord.), but Modelbench 1.0.0 will have an option on by default to backup models like Mine-imator with settings to change how many is allowed to be saved and how frequent a model should be backed up. Now since the "Parts must have unique names" warning will still remain to prevent saving to the main file(Because Mine-imator won't load them and don't worry, it's been fixed.), backup files are not affected by this warning and will save with duplicate parts.

  6. Does anyone have any good .miframes files I should be aware of?

  7. Oh hey, 15 is my lucky number! I gotta do something special for the next dev update then... :dvdthinking:

  10. With the new conduit special block needing some certain properties, the model format now supports shapes facing the camera and bouncing like items. You might also notice the aqua-colored indicator for the parent's position has been changed-- it now sports a new look and when you click it, it selects the parent.62e103faecc074e67f3f14ce67c3c089.gif

  11. This has been requested a fair amount of times since Modelbench's release, so here's a new feature that hasn't been revealed yet coming to Modelbench and is already available in the Mine-imator 1.2.0 pre-releases. ?9d20c2fe199c6100ab9e3e7a7c36e40d.png

  12. The next update of Modelbench will likely bring it out of beta(Modelbench 1.0.0) and for awhile now, I've been making more additions to the general program to make it feel more complete. For example;

      Spontaneous Explosions

      Cool. These were needed options.

Will it include bouncing and face camera?

  13. Upon further consideration of my previous warning of activating a kill switch for online Community Build clients, I've decided against the act after hearing feedback of the previously given warning. The in-program notice has thus been removed. As much as I'd recommend users to update to the latest vanilla version, I've found out that it's better to let users update at their own pace when their time is right to move on.

With this, the download for the Community Build version 1.0.3 will now be available again on the Community Build mod topic for those who want(ed) to see what the mod is about before being discontinued. Note that while the mod may now be available again, the mod will still remain unsupported. The Community Build mod topic has now also been updated to adjust to this change.

Now while the Community Build may just be a discontinued mod, I think it's important to realize that without it, Mine-imator wouldn't be what it is today.

Nimi, you have lied to us all!!!!

You said "the latest version of Mine-imator supports all features from this mod" which is a complete lie, as you didn't add my #1 favorite CB feature and the one thing I prefer about it over new MI versions- the 120 FPS option.

      nimi you liar

If only Mojang had realized that when they decided to kill console edition and replace it with Bedrock.

  14. For users that still use the Community Build, you should see a warning notification. Read more to see what comes of the Community Build's fate down the road.

While I think it's important to use officially supported versions, and that the newest official version is superior, I feel like this may not be the best choice in the end. The modding community is small as it is, it would be disheartening to see the best mod we've ever gotten sacked.

I don't use CB, i always updated to the latest version, i was just wondering what would happen.

maybe instead have a popup saying to update to the latest version and auto port their projects or something?

  15. Here are some cool 1.2.0 fun facts:

    - The new glow (+ glow falloff) effect and second/half second timeline markers option was already implemented and ready to be in a future update of the Community Build mod before it was discontinued.

    - When adding the Community Build mod features into Mine-imator 1.2.0, I wanted to expand upon them and make them even better, for example, some bugs were fixed with HQ and LQ hiding, Bloom was made completely from scratch with customizable radius and color options(as opposed to a GameMaker marketplace shader), and you can customize all biome colors as opposed to just one color.

    - During development, 1.2.0 had several different subtitles like "1.2: The Rendering Update" and "1.2: The Graphics Update".

    - The planning stage for 1.2.0 started in early spring 2017 and I spent the summer of 2017 developing Modelbench and experimenting with commonly requested features that 1.2.0 could have(and ended up not having) like volumetric lighting and custom bezier curves for keyframe transitions, to name a couple.

@nimi so I think i understand...Grass won't cast shadows on itself is kinda what you're saying?

  16. Fun fact; The planning stage for 1.2.0 began in early spring 2017, around the same time that the Community Build was discontinued, and Mine-imator 1.1.0 and Modelbench began development. 1.2.0's main planned features wouldn't begin actual development until June 2018.

    3. Nimi

      Nimi

Its core features, yes. But if we're talking about how long I've been experimenting with popular suggestions and how long the next update has actually been in development for, then experimentation for 1.2.0's features began since the planning stage and the update's actual development began shortly after 1.1.4.(Since it was going to be 1.1.5.)

Probably not, the new system has a detail system, but we have it kept at 2 due to it bulging weirdly if any higher no matter what setting the bending is.
