Famous Mine-imator and Modelbench shadow offset rendering Bug
Nimi replied to Fox Miner's topic in Wallpapers and art
It's called "peter panning"(where casted shadows are "disconnected" from their caster), a common artifact in shadow mapping techniques. -
My bad, I wasn't aware those were put in the 1.2.8 (and onward) translation files, they were likely added by mistake. 2.0.0's development has been going on along side 1.2.7, 1.2.8, and 1.2.9. Only Mine-imator 2.0.0 will actually read and support those translation keys.
-
In a later pre-release for Mine-imator 2.0, particle spawner presets included with the program will use language files. This also goes for the particle types in the spawners.
-
Almost all modern AO rendering methods are still screen-space with real time ray tracing being a new technology still. Many of MI2's new effects will be screen-space along with AO.

Not for such a big update like 2.0.0. Parenting this many objects isn't something the average user will do (and doesn't require immediate bugfixing attention), unless a rig already comes with all these parented objects.
-
Generating bending shapes in models is a math-intense process which doesn't play too nice with GameMaker's performance. There's going to be some systems in place to help reduce lag with bending in Mine-imator 2.0.0.

mine imator beta How can i get bata version of mine-imator.

Modelbench and Mine-imator have a unique way of handling UV-mapping due to the engine they use, Blockbench's plugin may need an update to account for it. -
This will be fixed in the next major update. (2.0.0, releasing this Summer.)

At the top of the 3D views, there a bar of buttons you can use to turn certain features on/off for a clearer view, the button on the left-most side will turn the control handles on/off. Certain handles may be hidden if the tabs on the right (Position, Rotation..) are closed.

mine imator beta How can i get bata version of mine-imator.

Hi, alpha/beta testing for Mine-imator versions is a closed/invitational only process as these early versions are quite unstable. When the next update is feature-complete and most major bugs have been ironed out, you'll be able to use early "Pre-releases" of the update this summer. -
It's possible if you use a converter like Amulet.

Are you trying to use worlds from Minecraft Bedrock Edition?

In the "Background" tab underneath the sun/moon wheels, there's two settings; Sunlight range & Follow camera. 'Sunlight range' will increase the area for shadows, while 'Follow camera' will move this area with the camera's position.

Modelbench and Mine-imator are single-threaded programs. If the thread they're running on is closed, the entire program stops.
-
It might be failing to close some background threads, keeping some parts of the program "running". I haven't ran into the issue on my native Windows PC(I haven't received reports from other users either.) so it could be specific to Wine.
-
A window will appear letting you save it where ever you like.
-
This could be due to Wine not handling the new multithreaded functionality properly.(Not entirely sure but that's my theory.) If it's not too much of a pain, if you've ran Mine-imator at least once, you can launch the world importer as its own standalone app and save .schematic files instead of having to go through Mine-imator.

I Payed you for the full version, but didn't get a key.
Nimi replied to joelthebold's question in Help
There must be some bug with the website not sending out emails with an upgrade key. Regardless, you can choose "I'd rather not donate" and get the key in the form of a popup. Here's a key I generated so you don't have to do that; SDDB866R -
Mine-imator 2.0 is planned for Spring/Summer 2022. A 1.2.9 update is planned for later this month to bring support for Minecraft 1.18.
