objective perfection is unattainable by any mere mortal being. criticism is not hatred, and requesting that no criticism be provided is a tactic that'll only garner negative feedback.
everybody has to start somewhere, and most people usually don't come out of the gate with a full-fledged masterpiece. in order to improve yourself and your skills, you must reflect on your work, learn from your mistakes, and refine your style with each creation.

Honestly guys, "no pics no clicks" needs to stop. Especially if they're brand new to the forums. You don't need to be so blunt and vague about it. It makes it sound like it happens all the time you're so used to saying it. But they're new. You don't have to distance them even further than they already feel.

To all the newbies out there, "smooth animation" is not something that can be taught. You can't watch a 20 minute YouTube tutorial and call it a day. In fact it's naive to think that you can learn everything you need to know just by watching tutorials. There's not how art works. You put work into art. Animation is art.
Smooth animation is something you achieve by experience. You earn it, not learn it. When making art, you can't just ask some other artist "Hey, could you record yourself painting that picture again so I can do it just like you?" And the problem is that to some of you that sentence might not even sound stupid.
Art is not "Hey what are they doing on theirs?" Art is "Hey, what can I change about what I'm doing to make mine work better?" Of course I'm not saying using others as influence is bad. Inspiration is definitely important. Copying someone else's techniques, however, is never beneficial. You will not grow as an artist. You will not learn for yourself how to further the quality of your work, and you will be sorely unprepared for the real deal.

I'ma tell you my problem with feminism.
If you get triggered easily, don't.
Okay so I don't get why feminists say the word feminism really means equality. We don't use it to describe equality. And when confronted about it, they say things like "Well, women just need more rights." Well... okay? Why do you say feminism means equality for everyone then? See, modern feminism is mostly just an amalgamation of hypocrisy, confusion, and going back on things they say.
Listen, I'm not saying women aren't at a shortage of rights (I'm not saying they are either). I'm all for women's rights. I just think that the way a lot of feminists go about things can be a little silly. Take this for example. First of all, the whole video is just silly (btw what man would agree to be in this commercial). Second of all, that's not what feminism is defined to be. See, there are sort of "factions" of feminism, all hating each other and wanting various degrees of privelage. It's honestly ridiculous and laughable when you take a step back. There's not one general "feminism" anymore.
In fact I really don't believe in almost anything to do with protesting for a certain demographic (like a specific race or gender). If we really want to achieve true equality, we need to not focus on just one demographic. What we need to do is encourage thinking of rights generally. If one group starts to get a lot at one time, the other group is gonna start complaining about their rights. For example, the #LikeAGirl movement 3 1/2 years ago, and the #LikeABoy movement coming shortly after. It's just an endless cycle. Another example, feminists are excited that there a lot of good female leads in movies nowadays. While that's great and all, sooner or later men are gonna start complaining about lack of male leads. Again, it's just an endless cycle.
So my final point for this rant is that from a political standpoint, we need to think of people generally, and not by gender. Stop striving for "women's rights" and "black rights", and focus more on "human rights".
 
Okay since I'm already making a status about feminism, I'll put another rant I have right here that's unrelated to my last couple paragraphs.
There's no wage gap.
It doesn't exist.
Feminists only think the wage gap exists because they're only looking at vague statistics. 1) Women generally take more time off of work than men (for childcare and such) and 2) Women generally go for lower-paying jobs. How many little girls have told you "I want to be a congresswoman when I grow up!"? Now compare that to how many have told you they want to be a nurse.
Again, keep in mind I believe everyone deserves equal rights. I just think feminists exaggerate things a lot. I think they have pretty good rights as is, some aspects even better than men.
