It's less useless than I thought. I assumed it would just kinda be there, but it does actually make item frames and signs glow. A feature I'll likely never use. But someone will I guess 

@Spontaneous Explosions this may be the first and last time I'll ever say this, but you underestimated Mojang. 

I personally wanted the glowsquid to be added, but I also thought it's just gonna exist in the ocean and that's it. Instead, we can now make item frames, the thing in it, and text on signs emissive, which could be used for making maps visible all the time, etc. There's actually a use for them rather than just a cool appearance. I'm glad I chose the glowsquid.
