You know, people who think Minecraft is getting too modlike really need to revaluate their stance. Minecraft has always taken inspiration from mods probably ever since modding were possible. For example, pistons were a mod before being added to the game.

@__Mine__ Mojang said themselves that that the stuff in archeology was a placeholder just to show off how it works.
I don't know what difficulty you usually play on but I ended up playing hard mode awhile back and it was pretty unforgiving. It kinda made me rethink if survival needs to be harder or not.

Also if a mob dies in powdered snow I doubt youd happen upon the item anyway. I don't see how that's even a complaint when you can find a shipwreck or a village and get free stuff with no effort.
