You want to make sure the grid option is on.

Change the grid size to .05 and turn it how ever steep you want it.

You can either put them in a folder or parent them to each other. I parent them to each other because it's easy to line up.

The smaller the scale, the less it will line up like this but the bigger you go the more smooth it should be.
Copy the one ring and turn it.

Repeat until you have a sphere and put it all in a folder. Like I said, the smaller you go, the less smooth it will appear.
