I wouldn't say that. It's a rather well-made post. To discredit the work here is to discredit roleplay, which is something you really love last I've heard.

Not so much anymore. Maybe it was wrong to go as far as to say 'cancer', but I discredit poor roleplay - which I'm guilty of, unfortunately  - and these particular categories boop all the cliches on the snout! The work is there, it just needs brushing up.

  2. Hmm... digital is hard, but if you'd like me to create something on noteblock studio, it could be a piece of cake. I'd want to see the quality of this production and make sure there's something to create for, since music is the LAST component of a game. I will not give out my Skype.

  3. Protip for lipsyncing fast audio: Slow it down by half. Lipsync to the slow audio, then move the keyframe to be twice as close as they were and add in the normal audio!

I can't animate, so I dunno if this works, but it sounds good in theory!

  4. I don't know what I missed in the pages before, but:

    1. Abstract things are abstract. Up for interpretation.

    2. Not all people understand abstract concepts. That's cool. A lot of people don't.

    3. You can not use the word, however, to mask bad content. I don't think this is happening here, but it is still something I feel needs to be said.

    4. Abstract things are better with story, in my eyes. Story can be abstract, symbolic.

    5. Past experiences can often be represented through abstract art (I know where you are coming from, James), but it should be kept in mind that they are not an excuse in any way. Even if a person has gone through a lot, that should not be used as a wall of any kind. Again, I don't think this is happening here, but for example, the comment Skibbz made earlier, while perhaps true, is not a valid point in debate.

(And yes, I *THINK* I know what this is about/based on, judging by my perceptions and knowledge of James. It seems to be quite a personal project, but again, that's not an excuse to deflect criticism or opinions with. :) )

PM me 4 debates, I'll rek u with writer skillz.

  5. I'd say that the darkness of the scene is what ruins an otherwise good wallpaper - making things dark doesn't make it scary, only hard to see. Try sneaking in a few blue light sources in the background and such. The logo/your name is a little distracting, but overall good effort!

And yes, I'm aware that it was meant to be dark, BUT NO EXCUSES!

  6. Well, if there's one good (albeit weirdly specific) comment I can make, it's that the panning shot introducing the food was veeeery nice. It was a visually pleasing camera angle that did what it supposed to! :D

(In the Making Cakes video, for clarification)
