I'm gonna quickly rant about Minecraft's newish structures and mobs and items and stuff.
The ocean structures are dumb, they almost always hold a treasure map and there basically the same one each time.
Also, whats even the point of even going to another treasure location after you get the heart of the sea? It's a huge pain to dig out a ton of land to hopefully get a heart of the sea, it's also a huge pain because sometimes it spawns underwater, and you have to head to the surface every few seconds, plus the rewards are hardly ever worth it, and most of the time the treasure isn't even on the X.
It's a bit more fun with a friend, but still it gets repetitive doing the same thing, search the ocean for a few minutes, find a map, dig up a ton of land, no heart of the sea? Repeat. Plus all these new mobs just get in the way well doing so, the drowns are really easy to kill, so they just become annoying if when you're searching for treasure.
Talking about the drowned, they shouldn't just drop a trident, I didn't even have iron armour by the time I had a chest full of tridents. Maybe there could be an underwater boss that drops the trident? Or maybe it could be in the ocean monument? It's just really lame how easy it is to get a "end game item". It's really annoying you can get a trident in the first few minutes of a new world.
They have a pretty big development team, so why do they waste them on making a thousand variations of a tropical fish that you probably won't ever see? I think Minecraft could use some better features, rather then adding useless polar bears, and blue ice. It upsets me that they have such huge opportunities for the game, but they waste it all on adding useless features.
Also, I really hope they don't add a ton of useless mobs in the new biome vote thing. I really don't understand why we need new content to those biomes either, why not work on villagers, and make them not stupid defenceless creatures, allow them to build castles or something, make them fight back and not just get destroyed when a player spawns in the world. It's embracing when one person can make mods faster and better then minecrafts whole team can make an official feature.

I think Minecraft should add more fresh content, not just more animals/mobs. I think they add something new besides the Nether and the End, because everyone knows how to easily go through those places now. Add another dimension, or something that makes people say "OMG I WANNA GO THERE AND SEE STUFF" instead of "oh wow, new animals, a lion and an elephant, I can't wait to kill them, get more useless materials, and forget about it". Maybe also add some other NPC thing that isn't just villages with idiotic annoying villagers who can't fend for themselves. Maybe a castle, with NPC guards and stuff that would be interesting to see. Idk just my thoughts on it.

So apparently people are laughing about how gen z is complaining about class presentations, and saying things like "Wow, they can't even read analog clocks or speak in front of the class? They can't do shit nowadays." Listen, I also think public speaking is an important skill to have. And the analog clock thing I also kind of agree with. However, presenting in front of the class never once helped my social anxiety. Anyone who actually has social anxiety knows that having someone else force you to put yourself out there does not help your anxiety. If anything it makes it worse. Social anxiety requires your own methods. You need to be the one to figure it out. Everyone needs to be able to present eventually, yes. It is an extremely important skill to have. But presenting in front of the class does not help.
And I think the problem is it's a complex issue that's being unjustifiably oversimplified. I love sharing my work, absolutely. I like talking about my opinions on certain matters, especially if the topic is something I care about. But what gives me anxiety is the act of standing up in front of a big group of people, and personally explaining my project to them. I go to school with these people, if I mess up I'll feel awful for weeks thinking about what they thought. Obviously they might not have even cared if I did mess up, but that's kinda why anxiety sucks so much. Sure, standing up on this proverbial soap box on a Minecraft animation forum is totally fine for me because I know if I say something stupid, I can always take my time, think about what I said, what they said, and say something better next time. A presentation is a one-time deal. If you mess up, you're screwed. The fear of that happening only gets magnified ten-fold with social anxiety like that. Like I said, being able to handle that is an extremely important skill to have. But when you have social anxiety, that problem suddenly turns into something different that we're not really trying to fix properly.
Listen, from the almost 3 years I've been on this forum, I've learned the importance of constructive criticism. Criticism is the only sure-fire way to succeed in my book. When you give a presentation in front of 30 mindless teenagers who just want to leave, you don't get that. Not even from the teacher. Sure they might give you a score written on a piece of paper, but that's not real criticism is it? How am I supposed to be better at giving presentations if the only sign I'm doing something wrong is a number on a transcript? "This presentation sucks" does not tell us how to improve. And it really sucks that the current mindset that a lot of people have is that forcing you into that system will actually help you. It doesn't. Trust me, I know. If we want to actually help people improve at public speaking and to actually be able to use that skill in the real world, why don't we teach public speaking? There are a few schools out there who have it as an option, but being so important I think it should be required.

Upon further consideration of my previous warning of activating a kill switch for online Community Build clients, I've decided against the act after hearing feedback of the previously given warning. The in-program notice has thus been removed. As much as I'd recommend users to update to the latest vanilla version, I've found out that it's better to let users update at their own pace when their time is right to move on.
With this, the download for the Community Build version 1.0.3 will now be available again on the Community Build mod topic for those who want(ed) to see what the mod is about before being discontinued. Note that while the mod may now be available again, the mod will still remain unsupported. The Community Build mod topic has now also been updated to adjust to this change.
Now while the Community Build may just be a discontinued mod, I think it's important to realize that without it, Mine-imator wouldn't be what it is today.

Here are some cool 1.2.0 fun facts:
    - The new glow (+ glow falloff) effect and second/half second timeline markers option was already implemented and ready to be in a future update of the Community Build mod before it was discontinued.
    - When adding the Community Build mod features into Mine-imator 1.2.0, I wanted to expand upon them and make them even better, for example, some bugs were fixed with HQ and LQ hiding, Bloom was made completely from scratch with customizable radius and color options(as opposed to a GameMaker marketplace shader), and you can customize all biome colors as opposed to just one color.
    - During development, 1.2.0 had several different subtitles like "1.2: The Rendering Update" and "1.2: The Graphics Update".
    - The planning stage for 1.2.0 started in early spring 2017 and I spent the summer of 2017 developing Modelbench and experimenting with commonly requested features that 1.2.0 could have(and ended up not having) like volumetric lighting and custom bezier curves for keyframe transitions, to name a couple.

Modern-day political discussions have been getting pretty silly in my opinion. I think we've lost the whole concept of political debate in favor of falsely painting some other person or group as xyz. Especially in the United States. Debates have become less about opinions and more about labels. And that sounds really broad and vague but let me elaborate.
Instead of listening to, well, your opinion, people will usually immediately link you up with a label such as conservative, feminist, fascist, alt-right, some more extreme than others. That's not how arguments are fought. Because if you disagree with a liberal in terms of immigration, you're a MAGA hat-wearing racist/fascist. If you believe in women's rights, you're a feminist. If you're not a feminist, you're sexist. If you don't like the idea of women with bionic arms in Battlefield 5, you're an alt-right troll. Oh yeah, and you're sexist too.
Why do we do that? Like I said, it defeats the whole purpose. Because from that point on, you're not arguing against the same points. You're arguing with the most exaggerated personification of the "opposite side" of the spectrum. By the way, on the topic of "opposite side", there is none. The problem I've been talking about got so out of hand that people don't even consider you to be anywhere on the political spectrum except left or right. Politics is such a wide concept, why tell someone (and yourself) that you have to be on one "side?" If I wanted stronger gun control, that doesn't give you the right to tell me I'm a liberal. If I like what president Trump is doing, that doesn't give you the right to tell me I'm conservative. I believe whatever I want, I don't need a bandwagon to get me moving. And you don't either. If you believe in women's rights but don't like other things some extreme feminists do, you're not obligated to call yourself a feminist. If someone tells you that if you believe in equal rights you're a feminist, they can screw right off. You know that's not what feminism really means, they know it too. You don't need a label for your complicated soup of opinions.
The political spectrum is much wider than left and right. You have your very own spectrum, and you don't need this garbage to tell you what you believe. I saw an article the other day titled "Donald Trump’s Message Resonates With White Supremacists". Basically it talked about how something he said on Twitter was an opinion also shared by white supremacists. If I understand correctly (because news outlets like this tend to dodge the point and sources to further push their agenda), he tweeted a quote from Mussolini saying “It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep”. And then some actual white supremacists were like "yeah I like his opinion, good quote". And then suddenly Donald Trump is a white supremacist as well? That's such an outlandish and out-of-the-blue thing to say. Yeah, people are allowed to agree with what someone says, just as much as you are to disagree. If you don't like that he quoted Mussolini, or the quote itself, that's alright. But I don't think anyone has the right to tell you you're a white supremacist, especially from something as stupid as a quote.
Going back to the point, we've gotten so used to this that it's customary. This is why liberal media is so often called "fake news", and why I even have to call it liberal media. Because it's not news at all. It's not. It is completely opinionated, biased, exaggerated and sometimes fabricated in favor of their opinion. Of course liberals aren't the only ones guilty of this, it's just the most prominent recent example. And that's just how media works. It's kinda sickening that literally nobody can talk about these things without associating the person they're talking to with an overarching demographic, and by extension mistake what they say and to put words in their mouths.
TL;DR: Political discussions are really painful when the person you're talking to thinks you're an extremist for disagreeing with them. We do things like this and then wonder why the other person just doesn't get it. Why we're constantly left with "Why is this person so dense? Why can't they just agree with me?" It's because no one's actually arguing at that point. At least not to each other, and not about their actual opinions. It baffles me how we let ourselves dig this whole so deep. What I want you to take away is that your opinion is your own. You are not this or that because you believe xyz. Labels should never tell you or anyone else what you actually believe. You don't have to call yourself a liberal or a conservative, or even a moderate. You don't have to say that you're just in the middle. Because there is no middle. There is no right, there is no left. There is no spectrum. It's a scam. It's fake. It is actually nonexistent. Your opinion is your opinion, and it always will be.
