    Oh for background I removed all things(clouds, ground, custom sky) then basically ignored it(I originally set it to green so I could easily remove it in gimp, I actually made a mistake and you can still see the green in a corner). For the shadows I set it to night then used a spotlight pointing at them from above. Oh and just to clarify the background isn't white, its transparent so it can go with any color site

    Sorta, you set a part to 1% alpha and it will cast a shadow
