  1. I have zero incentive to hide a virus in the pack. ? They're just sound files, I've been providing them for almost 6 years now. If they were infected, people would've found out by now.
  2. It is the evolution of the UI design introduced in Modelbench, and as such it'll retain the same customization options. It may not be as thorough as current versions of M-I, but it's a lot faster to customize and you'll still get to pick a custom accent color for important UI elements like buttons, titles, etc.
  3. Mine-imator actually uses a gimbal model to handle rotations, which unfortunately allows two rotation axes to overlap (gimbal locking). There were plans to implement proper local and global transformations, but it doesn't play nice with object scaling, so it's currently uncertain whether such a feature will make it in.
  4. The solution would be to use the Item objects, using a custom item sheet that contains your facial expressions and mouth shapes. That way, you could easily animate those using the "custom item slot" setting on the Item's keyframe properties.
  5. Hi everyone, the Minecraft Sound Pack has been updated to Minecraft 1.17! Check it out here:

Just a heads up, you can remove that LGBTQ frame from your profile now, also, thanks!

  6. Hi everybody! I've updated the back to the latest available release of Minecraft, version 1.17 aka Caves & Cliffs Part One! Starting with this update, I'm splitting the download link into two parts, one containing the sound effects, and one containing the soundtrack. The music files are pretty heavy (they make up two-thirds of the total file size of the entire pack!) and probably aren't going to be used as often as the actual sound effects, so hopefully this should considerably reduce download times and used storage space for most people. Enjoy!
  7. @CRAZYKOKEBROZ, you're really going to provoke them every time they post a suggestion? Don't you have anything more productive to do? I think they're just saying that their suggestions aren't as useless as CRAZYKOKEBROZ claims they are, since we're looking into adding them. And I agree. Moniker's suggestions are, for the most part, pretty sensible, especially with UX being a big focus point of 1.3.0. Plus, there's no denying that they've greatly improved their attitude, maybe you guys should try doing that too. Anyway, to bring the discussion back to the initial suggestion, I can confirm that you'll be able to customize keybinds for timeline interactions, including play/pause. Currently, the behavior is still the same, but I'd like to get that changed, because it irks me that the hotkey doesn't behave the same as the button, lol
  8. Hey folks, I was made aware of an issue affecting Firefox users where icons in the text editor didn't load.

For some reason, when trying to update the editor's skin, any changes just refuse to load despite many attempts, so in the meantime I'll just switch back to the one from before, with a quick fix to invert the colors when dark mode is enabled.

    Sorry for any inconvenience!

As always thank you for your commitment to improve and fix the forums!

  9. Well, Nimi's added volumetric fog and global illumination all by himself, so I'm pretty sure he'd more than capable of adding reflections if he wanted. Not to mention, there's already been a few experiments and even entire tutorials on how to make reflections and specular highlights in current MI versions. ?
  10. That's strange, they appear for me. Try doing a hard refresh by pressing Ctrl+F5 to force the page to load all the resources again, maybe it'll help?
  11. It's not implemented yet, I need to see what everyone thinks of the options I'm suggesting!
  12. Hey folks! I've made a few changes to the theme, I'd also like to get your input about how I should re-implement a text size feature in the text editor. More details here! https://www.mineimatorforums.com/index.php?/topic/85213-welcome-to-the-new-mine-imator-forums/page/2/&tab=comments#comment-847790

When did Voxy become so official

  13. Hey everyone, thank you again for your enthusiasm about the new theme, everyone's reaction was overwhelmingly positive and it fills me with joy to see it! I just wanted to let you know that I've made a few small changes to the theme: I've improved the Dark Mode implementation. Previously, the color scheme would only change after the page had fully loaded, which caused an issue where the light theme flashed for a short moment. This should now be solved! The Love reaction animation has been modified slightly. It's now a lovely shade of purple to avoid any confusion with the Downvote reaction. If you've added links to your YouTube channel, Twitter account, or website, they will now display as proper buttons next to your posts! Lastly, I'm currently working on a solution to add a text size option back to the editor! I was thinking something simple, an option to make text slightly larger, and one to make it slightly smaller. Let me know what you think of those!
  14. I'd like to avoid people abusing formatting options, which is partly why I removed the feature. There's no need to make your text this large. If you have issues reading it yourself, you can just zoom in.
  15. Have you considered the fact that it maybe people wouldn't enjoy scrolling through entire paragraphs of 72pt text? ?
  16. I mostly see the font size feature being used to create headings, hence why I decided to just have a proper way of making those. If I see that people really want/need to have this kind of formatting back, then I'll look into it! That's odd, I don't think I did anything to change that, but I'll investigate. We did update the software that runs the forums, so this might be a bug from that version, or a new configuration setting that changed without us knowing... We'll see! I've chosen to display stats under a shortened form on posts to make sure there was enough room to show everything. It's done using a built-in function, I can't change the way it rounds numbers. The Love reaction was originally intended to be pink, but despite my concerns about this exact thing happening I was told to make it red. ? Thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it, and I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the dark theme!
  17. Well Inventory wouldn't exist without you, so thank you for that! (Now come on get back to work you've got GPUs to melt)
  18. Well then, that update went even better than I thought! Everyone likes the new design so far, and I'm super happy to see it! Seems like you lot are very excited about the dark theme as well, I hope you'll enjoy using it!

With that said, I've been made aware of a small issue where the theme only gets applied once the page is fully loaded, which may cause some some unpleasantness when browsing from page to page. I'll look into a way to solve that problem!

Hey we have heart reacts <3

  19. Hello everybody, hope you’re all doing well! Today, we’re very excited to announce that we're launching a big update for the Mine-imator Forums, with a beautiful new design, a revamped layout and a few extra features! In this post, we’ll cover all the changes we made, starting with...  A snazzy new look Gone are the dark blues and grays of days past! With this update, we’re introducing a brand new design, based on an updated version of Inventory, the design system that powers the user interface of Modelbench, and soon, Mine-imator. Featuring a rich, bright color palette, updated typography and icons, and a wider, more spacious layout, this slick new theme will bring a much needed modern makeover for the forums. I really hope you’ll enjoy it!  Join the dark side If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t like frying their retinas while browsing at night, don’t worry, we got you covered! The new theme comes with a built-in Dark Mode to make your reading experience a lot more comfortable when you need it. To enable it, simply click the moon icon on the top right of the page. The forums will automatically remember your choice, and you can disable it at any time, too!  Note that for this feature to work properly, any existing color formatting had to be removed from posts. This was necessary to prevent text with dark colors applied to it from being impossible to read for Dark Mode users.  News you can’t miss Unless you specifically follow the right forums, it can be easy to miss all the important new stuff we have to share with you. To help with that, we’re introducing Headlines, a new way of making announcements to the community. Headlines is a new feature on our homepage, allowing us to highlight any posts we want you to read, such as updates on the development of Mine-imator, important news regarding the forums, etc. This way, we can be sure you won’t have to worry about missing out on the latest juicy tidbits!  A bit of spring cleaning As part of this update, we’re also changing the way the forums are organized, to remove unnecessary clutter, and hopefully, make them easier to navigate. The Mine-imator and Modelbench forums are now part of the same category, bringing them closer together, and making sure that you can find everything you need in one place. As for the Minecraft and Off-topic categories, they’ve been merged into the Lounge, the new home of all the stuff that isn’t about Mine-imator. What used to be a dozen subforums now neatly fit within 4 forums, Random talk, Other creations, Minecraft discussion, and Forum games. Let us know what you think about this new setup!  And more! We’ve replaced the existing reactions with a new set of playful animations featuring our mascots Ashley and Jonathan, animated by @mbanders and myself. And for those moments where a mere upvote just doesn’t feel like it’s enough, we’re also adding a new “Love” reaction to the roster! Use it wisely! Moderators and members who have recently joined the forums will now display a badge next to their name in posts. User groups also have fancy icons next to their names! The number of won days and the number of questions you helped solve now display next to your posts, alongside your reputation points and your post count. The text editor has been updated with new icons and a few changes: Font and Size options were replaced with a Format option, letting you choose between three paragraph styles: Heading 1, Heading 2, and normal text. The text color option now uses the Inventory UI palette. While the selection is more limited, those new colors can automatically adapt for users that have Dark Mode enabled, ensuring high-contrast text no matter what background it’s being read against. The background color option also uses this new palette. It was tweaked to act like a highlighter tool, giving text a subtle background instead of a solid block of color. I’m very excited to start this new chapter of the Mine-imator Forums with all of you, and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed working on it over the past few months. I’d also like to thank David, our trusty forum staff, and all our beta testers for helping me make this update possible. If you have any feedback or suggestions to make, be sure to leave a reply below! In the meantime, happy browsing, everyone! Take care. ✌

  22. Maybe increasing the amount of upvotes required as well as excluding the "random/test animation" category from the showcase could help a bit.
