  1. I believe it is the rules you're looking for and not the ToS. If you believe we missed something, report it, we always check reports. (You also can't tell if someone has been warned or not regardless) Locking as there is no need for further discussion.
  2. Regarding the issue with your missing models, can you try running Mineimator in Administrator mode. Doing so should fix the models not showing up. If the above does not work, go to your Appdata/Roaming folder and delete the Mine_imator folder. As for the lines, the development team is currently looking into this issue. There is no fix that I am aware of. It appears to an a somewhat isolated issue. (It's come up from time to time) All I can suggest doing is visiting the AMD site and manually downloading and installing updates for your drivers. Both for your CPU and Graphics.
  3. What graphics card brand/model is your computer using? Also does this occur only when rendering?
  4. Provided you download it from the official site, then no it currently does not have any viruses. You can also view this virus total link, where I uploaded the Mineimator installer: https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/a70d6a8e5ef04c43e82f9d0f159aba08213c5a4bfcf68e81b26a8a0aa1853cb4/detection At most, you'll get false positives, however this is due to the engine itself and not the program itself, so to speak. TL:DR; no
  5. What version of Mineimator are you using? Whats the rig, did you make it or download it from our forums(If so, a link would be nice) If you could replicate and post the error log aswell.
  6. 1GB of RAM being used actually isn't alot, considering it's an animation program. If you believe it's a memory leak, send your project and all assets to @david As for your FPS, what version of Mineimator are you using, and what are your dxdiag results? Is your directX up to date? Can your Graphics card/GPU handle Mineimator?
  7. Generally 3D engines are a good place to start, but I heavily recommend getting to learn the basics of programming and completing smaller projects. Biggest mistake alot of new programmers make is having a huge idea in their head, attempting it and realizing how hard it is and instantly giving up. Ruins future motivation too. But do write down ideas. As ironic as it sounds, I wouldn't recommend Gamemaker for 3D projects, as it certainly isn't its strong point, despite having 3D functions. It took Nimi & David hours of stress and workarounds. Gamemaker as an engine however, is alot more lax and forgiving in its programming, making it a good start to learn the basics of coding and whats needed, aswell as to tell you if its your thing or not. (Brought this up as you have a gamemaker tag in the topic) However as Random stated above, more professional companies offer actual courses and the like, which can be helpful if you want to learn what they are providing. Regardless of the engine, read and follow along tutorials. After the tutorials, don't stop there, modify and incorporate tutorial code, really helps you understand why and how things happen in the code you just watched a tutorial of. Also don't be shy too send a PM to either of the Mineimator Devs, they are both very helpful, just do be mindful they are busy as of late and they may not respond as quick as you'd like. You can send me a PM, however I won't be able to answer 3D questions since I have stayed away from it. (I love 2D) I hope either responses helped.

    Mineimating help

Easiest way to find out what timespan to space your keyframes out is to go into "Project Properties" and open your "Project" tab, in there will be a tempo setting, a tempo is for simplicity sake, how many frames a second(In animating). For example, mine is set at 30 frames a second, so in the timeline, a keyframe at '0' & another at '30', will result in a 1 second space. To get half a second after that, id place one 15 frames ahead(Half of 30) to get 0.5 time span. As you can see in the image above, 0-30 is one second, and I placed another keyframe 15 frames ahead after the last(at 45) to get half a second. I believe by default the tempo is set at 24, so 24 frames is 1 second by default, I do recommend you change this to suit your needs however. If you're talking about Mineimators animation transitions and not the frames, then there is no other easy way to explain it, it's best to learn transitions from trial and error. But it generally involves how and what happens between each frame for simplicity sake.
  9. Once Modelbench is publicly released, there are plans to make a "Models" type section. It will be mainly for a new format that the Modelbench exports as, however I can imagine .json files containing model information would be acceptable for this section too. I am unsure however of what this subsection would actually be called at the moment, but yes there is plans for such a thing.
  10. If you're talking about the walk/run animation buttons than the first bullet point under known issues on the topic does explain this.
  11. Importing them from the world, No. The rest of the world will be fine, however generally non-vanilla blocks get removed when they are directly loaded into Mineimator. In future Mineimator versions, there will be added support for this kinda thing, however as for now, you can create the blocks yourself via texture sheets and/or rigs. Another method is to replace all those blocks with an unused block such as greenwool, import the world and set the schematic blocksheet to replace greenwool with the chisel block textures and then you have your blocks. However 3D modeled, indented blocks that aren't a flat cube will require in-program rigging at this current time.
  12. I'm not sure how perfect this works, but from googling I can gather it is possible to extract the level.dat from a MCPE world and open it in MC Edit and export it as a schematic. The schematic in turn should be easily imported via normal methods to Mineimator. Note: Obviously MCPE only blocks will not be supported. You can also try using the level.dat as a method of directly importing a world without MCEdit, but I'm not sure how well this will work. 13. Well you chose right, if it fools the viewers perception to what you want it to look like, then you know you're doing it right.
  14. Absolutely amazing wallpaper. The only 'negatives' which aren't even that serious, would be the lights, tables(?) and ladder. The flat textures(or lack of) don't fit in with the scene. Other than that, this is amazing. Great use of foliage to add that 'abandoned' look, great lighting & DOF.(I think it's DOF in the background). I don't really see any over scaling of the textures, which is great. Best of all, you didn't over edit. Can't forget that you even added scenery outside the windows, alot of people forget to do this when it really add's that fine detail to the scene. One of the prettiest wallpapers I've seen in a long time. Keep at it please, I wanna see more.
  15. Topic locked. Thank you to those who reported malicious actions behind the scenes of this topic. Anyone who was affected by reputation abuse send me a PM with proof and Ill bring your reputation up back to its normal levels. Anyone who continues the abuse of the reputation system will have their reputation reset to 0 and potentially disabling their use to use the reputation system. Have a nice day.
  16. The first picture looks very decent, has a good amount of stuff in it and it doesn't look empty. Only thing I personally think needs fixing is the DOF/effects & empty bright space in the background. The background space can easily be fixed and look nice with the effects in the image already by making a cloudy blue skybox or adding another tree or 2, to remove that bright eyesore of a glare. The only other problem I have with it is the mix of Soften Portrait/Brightness with the depth of field, while it looks nice, it makes the foreground characters look like they are also in the DOF effect, making them slightly blurry. (Also makes the flower shadows look blurred too) Other than that, I think it's quite a decent wallpaper, it has alright poses, filled with little details here and there such as the flowers, torches and the close tree. (House looks abit empty tho, might just be the camera angle) The facial expressions seem nice too. Nice to see people still adding the small extras, nice wallpaper. I have nothing to say about the second however, I dont like it but it's also not a theme I enjoy, so I cant offer any criticism without being bias.
  17. Follow the link and download Direct X.
  18. Nimi is a natural when it comes to Mineimator. Cant wait for future updates.
  19. Follow that link and download the newest/updated version of direct X on your pc.
  20. A .Rar is a compressed folder basically. Inside it would be the rig and it's contents. To open it and extract what's inside it you need a program that can open them such as: WinZip WinRar 7ZIP You'll have to install these programs and extract the contents to have them useable in MI. Not to mention almost everything shared online that's downloadable is usually in a compressed file, so having one of these programs installed is helpful all around.
  21. Locked. The OP edited all his content out, so it's clear he doesnt want any further discussion on this topic. @Daffa_the_One If for some reason you wish this topic unlocked again in the future, PM me or another staff member.
  22. I'm sure many of you are aware of the Ransomware virus going around called "WannaCry". For those that don't know, it's a virus spreading around the globe at this current time. Once your computer contracts the virus a majority of your files gets encrypted, and a popup comes up claiming you have pay a certain amount of funds to get your files decrypted and useable again. It was estimated 3600 computers were hit with this virus every hour, infected over 150 countries and has infected more than 200,000 computers already. (Increasing slowly as we speak since people are now updating and protecting themselves) Although the virus was stopped, new versions and methods are starting to spread up again. Windows 10 is protected against this attack. (Provided you've updated in the last couple months) However, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, 7, 8 and 8.1 are not. To protect against this attack, and stop the chance of your computer getting infected and losing your files forever, you'll need to download and install the new released Windows patch for those systems.(I know, who updates windows these days? Noone, thats why the virus was so effective.) For most systems and versions, you simply go to Control Panel > Security > Windows Updates and look for the most recent patch. If this isnt available for you, google is an amazing tool, search how to install it. If you cannot find a patch after googling and checking your updates list, click here and download your correct version. Note: If you are running auto-updates you most likely already have the fix installed by now. FAQ: "Why do we care? The chance of us being hit is low isnt it?" No, infact according to IPBoard statistics, a majority of users on the forums are in countries that have been hit and spread the most. So I'm being nice and informing everyone, as you once you get the virus, kiss your files good bye. I've already seen 2-3 status updates with members saying some of their family and people they know have been hit with it. "What do we do if we are hit with it?" Install Antivirus software immediately or run your current one you have on your system, although it won't save your files, it'll stop the virus from encrypting any more files on your pc and remove the annoying popup. Unfortunately to my knowledge, unless you have a backup, any files that were encrypted in that time are forever lost.(Which is why you should patch now.) "If we pay the ransom do we get our files back?" No, it's a virus, intended to steal money and its impossible for the devs to track your computer down after payment, so no. Do not pay the money, as you will not gain any decryption key as promised. This post is probably useless to many of you who have heard of this before and already protected themselves, this post is intended for those who are not. As I said before, the original Wannacry virus was halted, however new versions and methods have released work arounds, so the virus is still spreading, although slowly, it still is, hence me writing this post. PM or Google any questions if need be, or if I got anything wrong.
