Another dinosaur here. As Slime and Shane have said, users are posting their content elsewhere where it's more convenient and beneficial for them (forum rep doesn't get you exposure on twitter). It doesn't help that with official feature development being over for Mine-imator, we're seeing a new age of mods branching off with their own exclusive features. There's not much point in sharing your cool new rig if it's only compatible with the mod you're using, with the mod only downloadable via a specific discord server. (there's like 4 or 5 mods out there now?) To add, other software such as Blender are making huge efforts to become easier to use, so power users don't have much reason to stick around if they're serious with pursuing animation.

At this point, this is an archeological digsite; Opinion from a third dinosaur (2015): The age of the forums is long passed; ever since the launch of the Discord its just been significantly easier for the community to exist there. The forums have always been sort of jank, and the only people who bothered to keep up with maintenance of it are long since gone, or have moved onto the discord. In the context of file sharing, it makes even less sense to come here for rigs and models because you'd need a 3rd-Party file hosting service to offer a download, where as on discord its all built-in with the program itself. (Not considering Nitro limits) The forums your looking for are what the Discord has become. High volumes of traffic at this rate wouldn't serve the site well, and could lead to it going down or being significantly slower than it already can be. It's really still here just because it always has been, but that goes for any forum site. Would it be cool? Sure, but it doesn't change that the website is a relic of a time that once was.
