Realistic Water Rig for Mine-Imator 1.2.4
DCTAnimations and 12 others reacted to Keep on Chucking for a topic
This rig uses multiple multiply surfaces to create a water depth effect, making the water look more realistic. I decided that rather than just making a tutorial, I'd simply just make it a download, there's two different versions that you'll be able to download. You can use this rig for your animations and projects, but credit to either this post or the video link are r e a l l y appreciated. Screenshots: Video Showcase: Downloads: Current version: (1.2) 22nd May 2019 (Updated links to new location 21st May 2020) Realistic: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bmw1SPoo7edvhaG_eneEw8bj9zTkWoos/view Minecraft Styled: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Rxg5Lj6cALQ2F9ajZRqGEEwLowuERqLf/view Known Issues: Apparently there's still people dealing with crashes when trying to delete the rig, I'd suggest importing this when you're almost finished with your project and using a surface or the regular water as a reference for where the water will be in the meantime, it doesn't seem to have the crashing issue for me so I'm assuming it's hardware related (slow pc) for the people experiencing the issue. Changelog: Planned changes (Expected release:? ) : Legacy Downloads:13 points -
Hey animators! It appears that some of you weren't happy to discover that Mine-imator would use the new Village & Pillage textures from now on. So to fix this, here's a link to a downloadable version of the "Programmer Art" resource pack included in the game! Enjoy!11 points

Field Team reacted to Private Cole Man for a topic
Hey guys! Haven't posted in a while. Here's a simple wallpaper that showcases some of the stuff I'm working on. Namely: A new realistic model (will do some finishing touches before uploading) Add-ons for my M4A1/AR-15 rig (cartridge & sights, will upload too) Posing. I really need to work on posing. Set and camera work. Whatever the correct terms are. Any feedback, be it kind or harsh, is appreciated as long as it helps guide me on what and what not to do. Edit: Forgot to add credits Piegon99 for the Humvee and M2 machinegun (background) Me for everything else1 point -

Greetings! It would be nice to have a way to select ALL keyframes of all objects from a chosen time forwards or backwards to be able to easily give something more or less time. This can currently be achieved by expanding all objects in the timeline and selecting them with the mouse but if you have A TON of objects it become tricky. If you have used premiere, there is a similar feature that is essential when editing for timing. (apologies if this is already implemented and I did not find it) Thanks! E1 point

Old city
TheJeweledWolf reacted to Rollo for a topic
While that's a perfect thing to aim for, there is a point where 90% of the wallpaper is full of stuff you can't see and the camera angle implies it's important. For example, Steve is blurry but the city is clear due to DOF, which tells our eyes to look at the city first, which is a bit too dark to see anyway. I like the scenery you chose though. It is possible to make a gloomy scene while still having texture and visibility to your lighting though. I would recommend trying to emulate a bit of moonlight to cast on everything. It doesn't have to be bright, just needs to illuminate important corners enough for us to at least recognize at first glance what the wallpaper is about. It would also help to try out other camera effects in the future, like color correction and vignettes to get a more gloomy and stylized look without sacrificing boringness. Steve's pose could also be a little more interesting. First time using Mine-imator though? I mean come on, this is fantastic for a beginner. The more I zoomed in on the wallpaper the more detail I found that I'm guessing most people didn't find at first glance. The skybox is a great choice, the scenery looks awesome, and the torch lighting is alright. I actually liked scrolling through the city, zoomed in, more than looking at Steve, who you say is the main subject of the wallpaper. Just a thought in that regard. All in all though, this is great and you're already on the right path. Just practice a bunch and you'll definitely see natural improvement really soon I'm guessing.1 point -
Destroyed Concrete (4K Realism)
TheJeweledWolf reacted to Zerghunter666 for a topic
This is mainly a test for fake displacements maps in mine-imator. With the help of @JosSamLoh I figured out how they work and can be achieved in mine-imator. I plan on using a lot more fake displacement maps for future photo realistic renders. Don't be afraid to send honest feedback Fun fact: The wall consists of 2340 surfaces.1 point -

This wallpaper was heavily inspired by 9redwoods' "Small Wallpaper Dump" post. This one in particular. Fun fact: I was going to make a time-lapse video for this, but I only recorded the progress in Mine-Imator so for the last hour or so it was recording a black screen while I was in Photoshop. Nice. Recording keyframes.
TheCollieStalks reacted to Hozq for a topic
So i came across this bug that constantly added new key-frames as soon as i moved an object. https://imgur.com/HViyIWT It perfectly replicated my movement. https://imgur.com/IEUkCK8 I don't know how to recreate this bug but if i find out i'll update this post. This would be a great addition to mi, recording key-frames. It would make making frame by frame animation so much easier. And new possibilities for different kinds of animation, such as recreating mouse movement. Sorry i couldn't get working gifs. Link's will have to do.1 point -
Yeah, I make music sometimes I guess. I mean technically it's a music video, right?1 point

[WIP Showcase] DOOM Marine Rig
Mr.Demo reacted to Mineupfast for a topic
I swear, it was meant to be a secret. Like, I wasn't even supposed to show it off until the animation for it was released. BUT I LOVED THIS SO MUCH! Presenting... The DOOM Marine! AKA Doom Slayer This model is still in alpha. That means any mistakes you see are likely to be fixed. The final finished product will be shown off in the animation meant for it. All other DOOM rigs coming won't be shown off. And if there is popular demand, I might release the rigs after the animation is published. Inspiration: DOOM (2016) (seriously, get the game, my personal GOTY) Like it? Like it!1 point
