In this post I'll be putting all of my art and such, made in mine-imator. First we have Kingpin, based on marvel comics. This is going to be used in the final animation of my Spider-Man project. This is more a teaser image than anything. Speaking of Spider-man why not a pic of the main man himself? A test of some more colorful lighting. I thought it'd look mysterious or edgy. It makes several keyframable areas in the timeline, that you cannot do with folders, this had to be done in modelbench. Also you can bend with each of these keyframable areas. If you are not familiar with transitions, it is most likely that this won't be of use to you. It for and only for advanced animators for smoother and more realistic animations. It does exactly as it says, you can animate each axis differently, they are named as different axises but they don't need to be animated that way. It requires 1.1.4, and you can animate bending on all of the axis objects as well. Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I've used Mine-Imator, and with Sony's SLENDER MAN coming out this month, I decided to put together a small animation. I worked on this animation for about a week. The idea came up sporadically, and so I put together a little outline and began to animate. There isn't a full plot or story here, this animation was mostly just a time killer for me and I worked on it whenever I had the extra time. I'm open to all critiques! I don't usually animate in Mine-Imator too much, but I definitely would like to try to expand out into doing more complex animations. Make sure to put your volume up high so you can get the sp00ks. I wasn't actually sure I was going to finish this at first, mostly cause I wasn't 100% feeling the direction it was going, it's definitely a jump scare fest animation with not as much suspense. The pacing is definitely off, but again that's because I was making it up as a go for fun! I think if I were to actually do more of a short film based around a Ender-Man/Slender-Man monster, it would go deeper into it's origin. But enough rambling, hopefully you can get some enjoyment out of it.

The magic beam is very unrealistic and just looks pasted in. Maybe add point lights in the scene so it seems more believable. The posing is very unrealistic and generic. I suggest practicing your posing and experiment with good poses. The contrast is very high. I'd suggest lowering the contrast a lot. The glow effect is very ugly. How about you don't use the glow, it makes everything look more blurry and it raises the contrast difference even higher, which doesn't help the image. I think I see flatlands in the distance. The SSAO is way too high. Tone it down a bit. I think that's whats making the random shadows on the ground. The skin doesn't fit the scene. Try fitting a skin in with its surroundings. I think that's it. I could have simplified it by saying, "remove glow and lower contrast and SSAO," but I'm here to try to help people by showing what they can improve on. You'll get better over time! Trust me.

Posing could use work, but good overall.

I agree, the particles are very pretty, I should try that out sometime. I personally think the mouth looks ok. There are some problems with the modelling on the arms and chest, you could turn the chest thing into smaller pieces so it has more freedom to move with the character. Also, I think the particle creator has "cast shadows" on which makes odd shadows on the walls. All in all, pretty good job.

Why are people downvoting this? Advanced rigs are actually quite helpful, sure they don't have any stylish flair to them but they're the best attempt to mimic that of regular animation programs such as Blender or C4D. I've used them quite a bit and they help so much.
