Try make ambient lighting a grayish blue and sunlight a very light yellow. The sky seems empty too; perhaps a skybox would help.

I think the blur in the background kind of ruins the picture. even if you look in the real picture you took inspiration off of, you'll see no DOF blur.

And just parent the fire to the arms and legs (for Iron Man). It's much easier and makes a much better result.
