so many things that are wrong with your post... and your computer.

 

don't do mineimator on a laptop, unless it's good. also, use Microsoft's computer, it's better than MINCROSOFT's computer.

 

 

But seriously, it's probably your laptop. Was it a gaming laptop? (Who even has a gaming laptop?) Does it have the power to run MI? Does it open sometimes? (1 in a 100 thing?)

This seems like a game maker error rather than mine imator itself. You see mine imator was built with the game maker engine which is not always the best if you could provide us with the full error it generates or a error log then we will be one step closer to trouble shooting your problem.
