Ok, that is really hard to do to make it HD  with mine imator, so basically u grab and paste an image in mine-imator and done. If you want it look like it is really good, u have to use photoshop, paint.net, or after affects.

Crap, I forgot to say how to do it.

1. Either use an image from google images or just use a custom color on a surface, cylinder or cube

2. Place your object in the scene.

2a. If it is in a room like in the picture above, just make it coming out of a window.

2b. If the camera is looking directly at the sun, create a surface with a transparent sun ray png like this: white-glowing-light-burst-transparent-ba

3. After placing your surfaces or other objects, put a spot light pointing where the source (sun) is pointing at.

Things to note:

If you are going to use a custom color, make sure it is transparent in some way.

If your camera is moving and looking directly at the sun, make sure the surface rotates to be parallel with the camera.

Also, make sure you put the brightness on your surfaces something more that 0. Whatever looks the best.
