Does Mine-Imator still render even if the computer has the screensaver up?

Question

So I'm rendering a long animation (three minutes, 60 fps, 1080p), and it's gonna take a long time to render. If I were to leave my computer on and go take a nap or something, would it still render? Or would it like, mess up the video so how? Please do answer if you know, because I really want to take naps or do other things during render time.

i would sit close by and move the mouse every once in a while. i once had it render a screensaver on an older version. i have no idea if its been fixed or not, but im not taking any more chances.
