Running animations are pretty easy to accomplish. You just need 4 keyframes and loop the animation while moving the character correctly.

If you take a look here, this is my favorite reference for Running animations. It's best to use 15 frames for this animation sequence.

Note: 'Put image' means make the character look like that pose.

Put image 1 at the beginning of the animation. This is the part that will loop. Have the character a bit higher off the ground. The torso will need to pivot a little to the left.

Put image 4 at frame 3. This is the quarter point of the animation. Make sure his feet barely contact the ground. Center the torso.

Put image 8 at frame 6. This will mark the halfway point. Raise him slightly above the ground from the last keyframe. Make the torso pivot to the right a little.

Now at frame 9, Put image 5, however mirror the legs' appearance. Make absolute that his position touches the ground like before. Center the torso again.

How to make it loop:

Copy all of the keyframes and paste them 3 frames after it.

Tip- If you want it to look better, follow every image exactly and it'll produce a better effect.
