Hello everyone. This problem has not been around much anymore but it was for quite a while. So I am writing this guide. About. Mini Modding.

Disclaimer: These are what I THINK, not solid facts.

First off what ISN'T mini modding:

-Advising someone against something.

Example:

"This is good content but some things in here are risky, I don't know if the mods will allow it"

-Telling someone that you don't like what they put in there and that you will report them if they don't remove it

Example:

"I don't like the way you did this content and it offends me, please take it down or I'll report you"

What IS Mini modding:

-Telling someone they are mini modding

Ironically enough pointing out mini modding is mini modding.

-Telling someone that they are breaking the rules and they MUST take something down(Especially if you add nothing to the topic)

Example:

"You have to take this down it breaks (Insert rule here)"

-Setting rules on a topic that is not your own

Example:

"You guys need to either stop arguing or take this into private"

-Saying something is in the wrong section (Suggested by Frossa)

"This is the wrong section, you need to move it"

-Telling someone how the system works (Suggested by Deminu)

"This will get you a warning point, further warning points will result in a ban"

-Telling someone you are reporting them(Suggested by Über)

Got any other suggestions? Comment below. Happy foruming!

Would it be considered mini-modding if someone said: 'You deserve a wp for that' or something similar?

It would be, because when someone 'deserves' a wp, it's because of rule breaking and you're basically rephrasing "You broke a rule!"

Which comes under this i guess:

"-Telling someone that they are breaking the rules"

Anbu Evan bened for mini-modding in the 4th degree. (no not really)

Here's one to add:

"I'm reporting you." Often overlooked, but there is no reason to publicly exclaim that you're reporting someone. This in the end will start more issues and there is no reason for it.

Why isn't this pinned? it could be pretty useful for people that have never heard the term Mini-modding.

pineded.

It's looks like reminder, i think.

And I like this, not too much, just a littlr bit.

The fact that we have to remind people the rules is not a positive look on us. However this topic is acceptable since we haven't actually gone in depth on this rule so it makes sense to have a topic.
