Mine-imator Beta 0.6.1 was released 2012.12.30

 

  • New toolbar option: Import animaton
  • Updated walking animations
  • The legs of villagers, witches and iron golems can now bend
  • Added an icon next to edited body parts
  • Fixed a glitch with loading older animations
  • Fixed an error when importing backgrounds
  • Fixed an issue with non-existant textures
  • Fixed a parenting issue
  • Fixed a schematic related issue
  • Fixed a few other minor glitches

What about the bending limbs that can bend 2 ways? (Not that you would want to use it, it would make it look like the part was broken...)

That feature didn't make it, mainly because it would require a whole new saving format to store that extra parameter. But I will definitely add it for the next major update.

ANYWAY, love the new update. But what happened to "The release of the 0.6.1 patch have been moved to tomorrow (Sunday) due to a new feature that rig makers will find very useful."? What was it?

The new patch introduced the ability to import the characters, blocks, items etc. and their timelines of an existing animation into your opened animation.

This means that you can import rigs into already made animations.

David, I noticed on your post "to-do list" that you wanted to be able to create custom mobs, I have noticed a program called Techne. I thought you to create the models in techne, export them and then inport them in to minimator, just an idea
