Mods cannot be directly added as mods consists of multiple things including skins and different file types to be read by Minecraft (eventually). You could add the skin of a cow to make it look different etc.

I think he meant mods for Mine-imator, because the source code is released. It's possible to make them, but I doubt anyone has yet. Even so, making one would be a bit futile because there's no way to viable install/uninstall them due to there not being any sort of plug-in system.

Mine-imator does not have mods i guess you could create an client but tuere is mods if u want to use the textures of a Minecraft mod contact author

To make an special file

To make custom blocks and items from mods, one could simply rip the textures from the mod files and stick them onto blocks in Mine-imator. If they were to be a different size, one could make a rig and put the textures on it.
