RobotCoveredWithHumanFlesh reacted to tditdatdwt in cool wallpaper
I did some face rig requests in 2014, but I don't think any of them were ever used for anything, so I used them in something. This was made in Mine-imator 1.0.3 because I dunno that's the one I opened, it's not even the version they were made in lol
I don't know anything about the technicalities of lighting mathematics, every shadow setting just looked like trash
The people featured in this wallpaper aka the rig requestees, who I'm sure will all see this, are:
@TheGoku7729
@RobotCoveredWithHumanFlesh
@TheManxTiger
@Crow Robot
@Defsharp
@kyokonull
@ncascouts
and some guy called PVTR_1998

Download Beta 0.4.2
Hello, animators! We are very happy to announce that the first beta release of Modelbench is now up and available for download!
Modelbench is a free 3D modeling program that lets you create models you can then import and use inside of your Mine-imator projects. Easy modeling and texturing tools, as well as full support for Mine-imator's animation features – like wind or bending – allow anyone to create anything they want, without hassle.

How to install
Download the archive containing the program files, and unpack it into the folder of your choice. Run Modelbench.exe to launch the program. Make sure to run Modelbench next to the "Data" folder it comes with, or else it won't launch correctly.

RobotCoveredWithHumanFlesh reacted to Voxy in Model — The Monster of the Ocean Depths
Hey friends! You might remember that a few months ago, I posted a wallpaper featuring one of the 4 mobs that Mojang asked the Minecraft community to pick as the next in-game creature during Minecon Earth. If you haven't seen it, you can go check it out right here:
And now that the embargo on models has been lifted, you are now free to download the model and use it in your very own creations!
The model is based on the sketch showcased by Mojang during the pool. The texture is my own interpretation of said sketch, and is likely not what Mojang would've intended had the mob been implemented into the game. Feel free to modify the texture to give the creature your own twist if it fits your needs better!
Credit is not required, but please don't claim the model as your own creation.
How to use
Make sure you own Mine-imator 1.1.0 or later, as model support was introduced in this version. The model is NOT compatible with the Community Build, and I don't plan on making a rig version for compatibility with such versions.
In your project, open the workbench and select the "Model" option as your object type. Then, just load the model and texture in their respective fields, and create it!
To animate the mouth, rotate the two sets of jaws appropriately. To extend the creature's tentacle, change its Y scale property in your timeline.

RobotCoveredWithHumanFlesh got a reaction from Dannyboi in Online Mine-imator
Actually GMS is pretty up to date, and already supports networking. However, the built in server system is garbage and should be written in a different language. You wouldn't need dedicated servers for something like this, so no need to pay for hosting. However, this project will flop. It's possible, but it would be extremely complicated to do. You would need to have a good understanding of networking, coding, and how Mine-Imator works, let alone a ton of time and effort. It wouldn't be worth it. A friend and I was working on our own community edition a good while before Nimi made his. We didn't get very far. We did have a chat system working, but that alone took a week to do, and it was very hacky.
Edit: Just read Über's comment. It goes well more into depth than mine, read it.
