Hello friends.Welcome to my Color/Shadows tutorial.I find near every shadows/lightning tutorial to be incomplete or out-of-date.Take a cup of you regular beverage, sit comfortably on your chair and let begin.
Chapter 1: The basics.
-Every project has its own settings.
What does that mean? You can't create every project/scenery with the same things, hoping that things will go good. For exemple if you create a sunrise the color temperature will be cold,if you let the settings to a hotter temperature, things will look ugly.
- Play with settings.
Not just place some things found on a website.Try to adapt them to your style.
Chapter 2: The settings.
Here is how my map looks like.
The color is an Gray Orange because it was an sunset.
Settings:
Sunlight Range:6580
Because it gives a nice sharp shadow with a small color boost.
SkyColor: 91B9FF HexCode
It just the normal minecraft sky.If you want to greenscreen it then use R:0 G:255 B:0 and
of course disable the clouds.
Clouds Color: R: 255 G: 255 B: 255
Pure white for most animations.
Sunlight Color: FDB813 HexCode
Very important. It make an animation to feel realistic. Here is some rgb codes:
-FDB813 > Sunrise color
-FFFFFB > High Noon Sun
-FFD6AA > Tungsten Color
-FF9329 > Candle Color
Ambient Color: 333333 HexCode
Most important thing here.It boosts the shadows/color of the scenery.Normally it should stay at an near black color.
NightColor: 003366 Hex Code
The nightcolor. It should be a black blue.
*Optional*
Fog Color: ACAEB2 Hex Code
Realistic fog color.
Now let go to scenery.
Brightness: 5-12%

This was all.Don't forget to try new things.
