    Just an FYI, Windows 10 is only protected from WannaCry if you're fully updated. In my case, I had the updates disabled because of my 0.8mbps connection, and didn't get the security fix.

      Correct, however the patch was introduced in windows 10 before Wannacry was even released.
      My post is more referring to Versions which had no protection until just under a week ago.

      I'll add a note anyway after my mention of windows 10.

    Chrome always seems to download at 500-600kb/sec, instead of the full 3.7-4.0 mb/sec I get everywhere else. Is this purely server related, or is there anything I can do with Chrome to fix it?

      It also depends on which website you download from. One time I downloaded 1gb file one website, it was estimated approximate 24hrs and another website, of course downloading a 1gb file, and it took like 15min. Weird how websites work in different ways. :/ My way to increase download speed is too decrease the internet traffic and also make the computer focus on Chrome only which means close the background application.

      Which refers to downloading from different websites. And your "way to increase download speed" doesn't increase download speed, you're just not taking it up with other crap.
